Top-of-the-Line Pickup Goes to Seahawks Linebacker
After his team thrashed the Denver Broncos in the recent Super Bowl, Seattle Seahawks’ linebacker Malcolm Smith became the first defensive player to earn the game’s MVP trophy since 2003—and the first from either side of the ball to take home a 2014 Chevy Silverado High Country for his efforts.
Of course, that has something to do with the fact that the Bowtie brand’s lux truck is still in training for its first season in the marketplace, but be that as it may, Smith will no doubt enjoy the High Country package. Offered solely in a crew-cab configuration, with a standard 5.3-liter V8, the 2014 Chevy Silverado High Country wears ultra-premium design cues that include plenty of bold chrome exterior accents, a cabin that takes its inspiration from the premium leatherwork of the American West, and Chevrolet’s latest MyLink connectivity/infotainment system with an 8-inch touchscreen and up-level Bose audio components. And that’s all topped off by a 9,800-lb. max tow rating that enables true-truck hauling performance.
For customers who weren’t able to recover two turnovers in Super Bowl LXVIII—including a “pick-six” in the second-quarter of the game—the 2014 Chevy Silverado also will be available for purchase from local Chevrolet dealers just in time for the start of the next NFL season. The truck is expected to carry an MSRP of $45,100 when it debuts this fall, and that’s with destination charges already included.
