Fun fast and it actually fits my family
Pros: Speed and comfortable drivers seat.
Cons: Mpg.
I needed a daily driver to get work, take the kids out, and sometimes go to the mountains with a bike. I didn't want to lose my soul so I got an sti. This car is fun to drive for sure. I can fit my wife and two kids comfortably. My 2 year old loves the speed. I haven't driven in the snow yet bit I am hoping that with blizzaks it will handle it just fine.Blown Engine @ 5,000 Miles
Pros: Handling & brakes are superb
Cons: Engine blew 2 pistons at 5k , required a complete rebuild not covered by warranty because I changed the muffler.
Love the car , love the handling - BUT - its not really a $35K car - its a $45K car after you have replaced the engine. Anyone thinking of buying an Sti needs to search Google before and key in 'ringland failure'. A massive disapointment overall after many years of supporting Suabru.$5000 Surprise!
Pros: Handling
Cons: Blown engine at 5,000 miles
One of the reasons anyone buys a car like this is for performance - 305bhp never looked so good! The car has 4 doors , a decent trunk and 'its a Subaru' - which I thought meant reliable. 1000 miles to run it in , so take it easy. Then service and oil change - after this 4,000 miles of brilliant driving. The problem is - thats all you get. After just over 5K the pistons (#2 & #4) blow. The cost - $5,000+. Subaru is in denial , and the press have not picked up the story. The internet is littered with owners that have had to deal with this - almost exactly as above. Should be / could be a great car. But $5K more on list makes a BMW 335i very attractive!Buyer's remorse
Pros: The handling
Cons: everything but the handling
Don't get me wrong, this car is a lot of fun to drive. However, considering the price, the quality is very poor. There are a lot of squeaks, the paint scratches extremely easily, I've had problems with the fuel door. The overall interior materials are cheap. The metal is cheap. The car feels cheap.Best sport sedan.
Pros: Turbocharger
Cons: The looks.
Best sports sedan for it's price, no comparison. The regular WRX can not be beat. Any weather. Great reliability. Not just like every other car you see. Horizontally opposed engines are just brilliant. All wheel drive is a definite bonus. The addition of the 2.5 liter engine in '06 was another great improvement.Pros: AWD
Cons: CD Player. Has been replaced twice.
Advice: If you need AWD in a small package, there's none better
Love my Impreza Wagon. Keep up with the routine maintenance and she'll treat you well. Decent pickup for a relatively economical car, great handling in all weather (I live in New England, so I see it all), and the hatchback holds plenty.Pros: power , handing
Cons: i like it all
Advice: go for it get the sti
test drive it you will like it
