Worst Dealership Ever
Pros: all wheel drive
Cons: style, lack of ac in back
Do not like a car that you cannot find parts except for dealership. This includes windshield wipers - wanted to charge me $80 but said they had none. Mechanic I went to got wiper from same dealer. I paid $44.00! This is only 1 of many issues I've had with dealership. Too expensive to maintain.mercury sable
Pros: nav system
Cons: frequent repairs
Nothing but trouble. Fragile in all ways. Always a trouble light or computer problem.Pros: one of the best rated crash test vehicle
Cons: outer shell of car easily damaged
Advice: saves your life even in a bad accident
This car drives smoothly and is the best for safety issues. As a woman and future thinking mom, I valued safety most of all.Low maintenance with expert analysis from dealership when needed.B9 tribeca gave best performance within a 50 mile radius from home.Spacious and comfortable for long distance driving.Best family vehicle there is.Pros: Cockpit and front controls
Cons: Nothing
Advice: Great all around vehicle. Superb craftsmanship
The Tribeca is a joy to look at and drive. Can't help but ohh and ahh everytime I see one. Seats are very comfortable front and rear. A bit cramped in 3rd Row, but liveable for short ride for young adults or children. Fit and finish are Lexus or Infinity like. Absolutely adore the design all around. Wish they were not so quick to change for '08. Just ever so slightly sluggish off the block, but not enough top be a problem.Pros: Safery --All of them
Cons: No arm rests
Advice: Look at all the other cars in terms of safery first... You will drive away with a B9 Tribeca.
I bought a B9 Tribeca based on the safety factor alone. I was in a (almost fatal) accidnet 2.5 years ago and survived becasue the car I was driving was built for safety. My perspective is safety first trim comes after. I love this car for the safety reasons alone. You won't find a safer car for the money. Even for more money you won't fine some of the safery features the B9 has. Look are the bread pedal safety system, --Only on the Subaru. I don't know if I will ever get use to the front grill, but who cares it a great safe car the is fun to drive.Pros: The sport shift / automatic
Cons: No program seat setting for two
Advice: Test drive it and fall in love.
Took it out for a spin 2 years ago and fell in love but could not afford - waited 3 years and test drove it again and was still in love with it. I have always had standard vehicles and didn't like how automatic vehicle shifted and this B9 does it so nicely it is great / love the option of sport shift. The B9 is a wonderful vehicle.Pros: Styling. While controversial, it has a unique style. You won't see every neighbor drivng one (i.e. Rx 330/350).
Cons: Gas mileage. Not that good and it requires Premium!!!
Advice: Don't let others prejudice (styling) influence your choice.
We have had this car for 3 months. I bought it for my wife who initially wanted a RX 330 or a Volvo XC 90. Too many of her friends had them (5 alone on our cul-de-sac!!!). We were in search of quality (Subaru has a great history), balanced with performance and value. After researching all of the cars in this class (with a special nod to help from Consumer Reports), we made the choice. Have not regretted it! A Great vehicle for our four season weather here in Chicagoland.
