Ever heard of the Mt. Washington Hillclimb? No? Ok, here's a brief synopsis of the event:

The Mt. Washington Hillclimb (also known as the Climb to the Clouds) is one of the oldest motorsport events in the U.S. First run in 1904, the climb takes place on the 7.6 mile Mt. Washington Auto Road in Pinkham Notch, New Hampshire. The race ran sporadically from 1904 to 1961, and then entered an almsot 30-year hiatus. In 1990, the hillclimb started again and ran consistently until 2001. Ten years after that, the Hillclimb was held once more to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Mt. Washington Auto Road. It was there that Subaru Rally Team USA driver, David Higgins, set a record time of 6:11.54.

Two years after the last hillclimb, the Sports Car Club of New Hampshire and the Mt. Washington Auto Road announced that the hillclimb will be making a return for 2014 thanks to Subaru. The event will take place June 26-29 and feature a 75-car field. While it's not as high nor as long as the Pikes Peak Hillclimb, the Mt. Washington Auto Road can claim they still have gravel on their course - 13% of the course, to be exact.
