Some of the coolest things to see in the various automaker’s booths at the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show are the race cars from various series, eras and realms that are there bumper-to-bumper with the late model road cars. From IndyCar to rally to Gran Turismo, we got some pictures of some of the best on the show floor.

Infiniti Red Bull Racing F1

Infiniti’s Formula 1 RB10 is right up front in their booth. The eight-speed open-wheeled car is carbon fiber and aluminum with a V6 Renault engine sitting on Pirelli tires.

Cadillac ATS-V.R

Cadillac announced the ATS-V.R in the weeks leading up to LAAS. In 2015, it will be driven by Andy Pilgrim and Johnny O’Connell in the Pirelli World Challenge Series. It is built to meet FIA GT3 specifications, allowing the car to compete across other GT series globally.

Honda IndyCar

Honda proudly displays the 2014 Indianapolis 500 winner with a wreath and the Brickyard’s famous bottle of milk. Ryan Hunter-Reay drove the to his first Indy 500 win this past spring.

2014 Mazda TUDOR Prototype #70

Mazda is unique in that the SKYACTIV-D Clean Diesel engine is the only diesel engine in the TUDOR series. Heading into 2015, Jonathan Bomarito rejoins the Mazda team along with Tom Long, Joel Miller and Tristan Nunez, with Ben Devlin and Sylvain Tremblay driving in select races.

Mazda MX-5

Revealed several weeks ago at SEMA, the Mazda MX-5 race car is also on the show floor. The MX-5 will race in the new Mazda Global MX-5 Cup series.

Volkswagen Beetle

Tanner Foust drove the bright yellow and black Beetle in the 2014 season of Red Bull Global Rallycross. A standout in a field of Ford Fiestas, the horsepower-packed Beetle is on the show floor, accessible to fans.

Kia Optima Turbo

Kia won the Manufacturer’s Championship in the Pirelli World Challenge in 2014 - the first time for a Korean manufacturer. Nic Jönsson drove the #36 on the show floor to seven podiums, three of which were wins.

2015 Subaru WRX STI

If you saw the wild video of Mark Higgins driving the WRX STI rally car on the Isle of Man TT course to a new course record, this is the car he did it in. The WRX was only slightly modified for the course, adding a racing seat and a roll cage for safety, and dampers and springs for the dangerous course. There is a map of the entire circuit on the car’s hood.

2014 Porsche 911 GT America

Fans of McDreamy: Patrick Dempsey has come and gone from the LA Auto Show, but you can still see the 911 GT he and Joe Foster drove in the TUDOR GT Daytona class this past season.

Toyota IMSA GTP Eagle Mark III

Toyota has several race cars on the show floor, but this historic IMSA Grand Touring Prototype from the early 1990’s is a stand-out. Driven by Juan Manuel Fangio, he won the 1992 and 1993 Driver’s Championships as well as the Manufacturer’s titles in the car.
