Sir Stirling Moss and Merecedes-Benz Celebrate 60 Years of the SL-Class at Pebble Beach

Racing legend, Sir Stirling Moss, and Vice President of Marketing Mercedes-Benz, Bernie Glaser, were on hand at the Mercedes-Benz Star Lounge at the 2012 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance to talk to our vintage car expert, Steve Haas, about the history of German brand. The Lounge included examples of cars, inlcuding one that represented Mercedes-Benz's the invention of the first car 125 years ago, all the way to the racing and development of the SL-Class.

For more than 60 years, the SL-class has proven itself in innovations in design and racing. Showcasing several vintage examples of the marque, the Mercedes-Benz Star Lounge served as the historical center for Pebble Beach and the showed of a bit of the new with a Concept Style Coupe that was later moved to the Concept Lawn area of the car show.
