    2004 Scion xB - (M5)

Pros: Room for big driver + mp3 capability reduces risks of accidents caused by searching for CDs

Cons: Engine feels like a small car, would be GREAT with a V6 inside, or at least more HP

Advice: After driving it for seven weeks, it feels like a good deal. If you live somewhere with bad traffic, expensive gas and competitive parking, Scion xB is a contender.

The Scion xB is an ideal ride for a musician in a large metropolitan area like Los Angeles. REASONS: 1--Efficient gas mileage (traffic + a/c blasting still has me at around 24-27 mpg) musicians are often broke, so less money spent on gas means more money spent on CDs 2--The xB can fit in tight parking spots, and negotiates quick lane changes 3--With the back seats folded down, there is room for hauling lots of gear to gigs 4--The sound system helps calm the LA road rage tendency, good low end frequency response soothes the nerves 5--It is quick to wash (9-12 quarters at a coin wash), and easy to keep clean, the angles of the car create a unique reflection of light so it looks REALLY clean even if it's only moderately clean 6--I'm 6'3' tall and 265 pounds, there is plenty of room for me. It doesn't feel like a subcompact (although I can't imagine making out with a tall woman in the back) 7--Good for tailgate parties/barbecues 8--The stock paint job has a few layers or depth to it, it's not just some flat generic paint 9--For a four banger, when I need to punch it, it moves. Honestly, I do miss the beef of a bigger engine, but with gas so expensive in LA, I can get over it. 10--I have a friend who is disabled, and it is easy for him to get in and out of the car 11--THE STEREO READS MP3 DISCS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Haven't tried a long roadtrip or a nap in the car yet, but the xB is my favorite city car I've ever driven.

    Pros: The limited release series

    Cons: Engine performance

Advice: You can't beat the price for all the amenities you get in this vehicle

I have the Hot Lava xB and it gets so much attention. You can modify these vehicle like no other.

    2004 Scion xB - (M5)

    Pros: Fuel economy

    Cons: No casette player available

Advice: Go for it! A great deal on a great car!

The xB was faced with the task of replacing the family's 1995 Escort wagon when it died at 162,000 miles, its first reliability issue. We were looking for a compact wagon with good fuel economy, decent interior space, and a reasonable price. And we got it. The car averages 35 mpg (manual), and has reached past 40 in highway driving, cost less than $15,000 with a no-haggle price (very well-equipped at that), and has more rear-seat room than our other car, a 1996 Dodge Caravan. We've also had no problems with reliability so far, with 19,000 miles, and have enjoyed the first two of the three complimentary oil changes provided by Scion. A few complaints include the lack of a casette player option and a very stiff and bouncy ride, and an underpowered feel at high-speed acceleration, but other than that it has proved excellent. Here's to another good 143,000 miles!

    2004 Scion xB - (M5)

Pros: cruise control (don't forget this option) Nice sound system for car in this price range. LOTS OF LEG ROOM .

Cons: NOTHING VERY GOOD BUY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Does need a little more power but the good gas milage is better in my case. If I needed a fast car I would of got a WRX.

Advice: Drive it . Then think of the other cars in the same price range. IT ALSO HAS TOYOTA OUALITY. Sold you I hope. I enjoy mine.

Nice little van, has a pretty good ride for such a light car. I like the auto trans better, lower rpms at highway speeds. I think it is about 2800 at 70 good enough for me.The gas milage is good too.(37 mpg on hwy.)

    2004 Scion xB - (M5)

    Pros: Everything

Cons: Dont get the Toyota Security System it is terrible.

Advice: Buy it stock and upgrade from there.

What a fantastic vehicle. The room is incredible, the craftmanship is absolutely perfect. And I dont agree with the performance issue. It gets 30 mpg and I go 80 at 3200 rpms, get the auto with the overdrive. You cannot beat this product for the price and sensibility.

    2004 Scion xB - (M5)

Pros: unique body style and space

Cons: power... it's 1.5L can't expect much off that.

    Advice: test drive it

Unique style, spacious, great gas mileage, affordable, and it's made by Toyota... great reliability. Test drove 2005 Scion xB twice. The first was around the block, the second was off the lot and into my garage. Buy one!

    2004 Scion xB - (M5)

    Pros: Style

Cons: Need a center arm rest.

    Advice: Get the cruise control.

Saw it, drove it, bought it. Best car I've ever owned. The entertainment value alone was worth the purchase.
