Pros: Visibility, no blind spots
Cons: No cruise, no keyless entry
Advice: Great little car
I was very pleased with this car. I was surprised at the relatively smooth ride. You do feel some expansion joints on the road but you feel them with a lot of cars. The sterio was great. The visibility was the best I have ever witnessed on a car. No blind spots at all. I was racing a VW Golf on I94 where the speed limit is 70 and I hit 90 like nothing. Woops! This car needs cruise control (and doesn't have it). Also, if you want to get in, you have to use the key. It needs a remote. This car is so ugly it's cute!Pros: Styling - inside and out.
Cons: No remote keyless entry without purchasing the Scion security.
Advice: Great little car for the price.
Very firm, smooth ride for such a small vehicle. Seats are comfortable. Overall I liked the feel of it. Very quiet ride. Great for getting around town.Pros: Gas mileage and the incredible ammount of room inside for such a small car on the outside
Cons: No temp guage
Advice: test drive
My brother borrowed my Scion xA and got into a wreck with it. The car took out 2 small telephone poles and a railroad control box. The car was totaled, but my brother was able to walk away with only a couple of scratches. I feel very safe in this model of car, and would buy another one in a heart beat if I were to get another new car.Pros: Look great, great interior, and finally a sound system worth buying
Cons: Kidney jolting ride.
Advice: Don't, unless you can live with the bumps, or negotiate new shocks
You only need to know two things to stop considering this vehicle, and you can get at it during the test drive: a) Notice how each and every tiny bump, divot, crack is immediately transferred to your spine. If there are shock absorbers on this car, you'd never know it. b) Notice how it just doesn't want to get out of first gear, when you turn it on, until it's warmed up. Mmmm, maybe that's why the sales guy always took 10 minutes to 'find' an available xA in the lot. Now imagine yourself warming up the car, everyday, for the rest of your ownership.Pros: Boxy Design
Cons: No map lights
Advice: Cannot recommend vehicle
Rough ridePros: Ease of handling
Cons: Uncomfortable seats and wiper blade throws water in front of my face
Advice: Look around
Bought this car, drove 30 miles and found that the raised part of the seat at the end, near my knees, cuts the ciculation off in my leg. When it rains hard I have to look around the bar of water that the passenger wiper blade leaves in front of my face. Other wise the car handles nicely if you don't take the corners too quickly.Pros: Can easily park in any parking lot
Cons: cruise control-- but for the price , it's OK
Advice: Great car for regular drive
