Pros: The strong engine and smoth transmission....3.5L
Cons: The Front Seats
Advice: Be sure you can get comfortable in the front seatsI was torn between the Vue and the Pontiac Torrent, but went with the much more powerfull Vue.Yes the Vue does have some wind noise issues and the doors don't line up perfect, but they are all small thing's compared to the front bucket seats.I have the leather 6 way electric seats which I can not get comfortable in.They are small and very cheaply made. That would be my only complaint to the Vue...
Pros: Interior Room
Cons: That I did buy one earlier
Advice: Buy onePerformance is great for an SUV, and the price is unbeatable for what you get.
Pros: Nondenting plastic panels
Advice: Get the V6 Honda built engine since it and the excellent GM transaxle will last 10+years.This car is utilitarian, affordable, and practical. I love the performance and quality and recommend it to anyone who needs an affordable outstanding SUV!
Pros: The steering, very easy and handles nice
Cons: The back storage and trunk area, seems flimsy, not sturdy
Advice: Great vehicle for the price, I have the manual transmission and love it!The steering is incredible, very easy to handle and the wheel turns easily, even with one hand. It also rides nice, don't notice bumps and barely any road noise. Very comfortable, so far I LOVE it!
Pros: THE GAS MILEAGE!!!!!!!!!
Cons: The interior seems a little cheaply made
Advice: Be confident in this choiceI love my Saturn VUE!!! I have a 2003 model and besides the interior being a little boring it's excellent! There are SO many awful reviews about them and it's rediculous. I haven't had any of these problems that some of these people have had. So, if you're looking to buy a VUE don't worry, they are good, affordable, and reliable suv's.
Pros: The V6 motor (which was developed by Honda), dent free plastic exterior panels
Cons: constant problems, poor quality plastic interior
Advice: don't do itHave had a number of problems with the drive train components on this vehicle. Has been back for repair for such things as water leaking from dome light, vibrations, and wind noise. Now it is wearing out rear tires although they tell me the 4 wheel alignment is OK. Probably the worst vehicle I have ever owned. Do not buy one!
Pros: Nice body
Cons: the transmission
Advice: DON'T GET THIS CAR USED!!!!!!!I got a used Saturn Vue with 56500 miles last Thursday, I took it back to the dealer the next day because it had a strange sound coming from the front end. I took it to a Saturn dealer for service... turns out it needs a new transmission. The VTI transmission is a lemon and anyone who has this car knows that... I am definitely trading this one in. Apparently this is not the first time the transmission on this car has given in. If you are going to get a used car, this is not the car for you, really, its bad enough new!!!!
