Pros: The look
Cons: ALL THE PROBLEMS
Advice: DoNot get a 2005 REDLINE!I bought this truck new in 2005, its not even 3 years old and ive had to change the rotors twice and now they say i need them again. so far, ive had to replace, the sway bar and links, front wheels bearring, and now they are saying my back shocks. I drive alot for work but i didnt expect this many problems. This is my second saturn and im seriously debting NEVER gettting another one again.
Cons: poor quality,workmanship
Advice: If i knew then what I know now - I would not have bought this carbought last spring - it's been in the shop 7 times - first windshield wiper didn't work - took 2 trips to fix that. Than ESC didn't work - took 2 times to fix that as well as the cruise control - hit bump in road and it shut off - 2 times in to fix that - along with the rear brake light - either stayed on all the time or never came on at all - 4th time in to fix that - how this car was named car of the year I have no clue - my version certainly isn't. It looks good but has been in the shop more times with this one car than my previous 7 cars owned all together.
Advice: stay away from 4 cylinder engineWe have purchased the 2008 Saturn Vue XE,which is the 4 cyl. What a mistake, if you are driving this vehicle on the highway, dont try to set the cruise any above 60 MPH, its constantly shifting back and forth, trying to mantain speed. With 1800 miles on it we are considering tradeing it for the 6 cylinder. Other than that its a great vehicle.
Pros: On Star
Advice: Get the V6The roominess of the car is great and the appearance is stlyish. I would definately get the V6 engine and the front seats could be a bit roomier. Leg room is great both front and rear. Has a very smooth highway ride alothough the engine is a bit noisy. Good amount of cargo space and storage. Could use a bottle holer in the door. The power window switches take some getting use to and the sound system sucks.
Pros: Moroccan leather seats; interior and exterior styling; performance
Cons: No rear arm rest; need standard passenger power seat
Advice: you will not regret this purchaseLiving in the Rockies, vehicles must be able to ascend. During the test drive, this beauty screamed up the flanks of the steepest nearby hill with ease. City driving was equally pleasing - quiet, refined, and responsive. In both arenas, normal conversation levels were a breeze with minimal exterior noise from any source, at any speed. The Moroccan brown-accented interior and the eye-turning exterior with its chrome-accented bronze pewter finish and 18-inch wheels were the kickers. With over 7000 miles of traveling pleasure, I’m happy to report that there have been absolutely zero problems and that the average fuel consumption is much better than expected probably due to the amount of highway driving. The Toyota Camry test drive was disappointing to say the leastand the Fusion was nice but without any spark. The Honda was perhaps the closest competition but lacked the European sportiness although there is equal eye appeal with some models.
Pros: The quietness and smoothness of the vehicle.
Cons: The buttons for the mirrors are a bit awkward to reach - but nothing terrible.
Advice: Please - give this car a chance - you will be pleasantly surprised.Buy this Car! We just love everything about our new Aura XR - from the littlest touches to the overall price paid for the vehicle. Compared to the Toyota Camry, this car wins 'hands-down.' I traded in my Mersedes CLK 430 and don't regret it one bit. The Aura is QUIET, smooth, comfortable - and it comes with On-Star (1 year), voice navigation (60 days), and hands-free telephone, XM (3 months), just to name a few things. The process at the dealership was great - we feel that this was our best car buying experience ever. And - it's an American car - which means a lot to us transplanted Michiganians....
Pros: the cool moracan leather
Cons: See above
Advice: talk to others firstThis is my 2nd saturn, I had a 04 Vue for 60,000 miles and I can tell you I miss that car. I wanted an Aura from the first time I saw it so I got one. 10,000 miles and it is a service hound. Power steering pump and rack and pinion replaced, breaks were also replaced, power pass. seat died and a few trim panels have been falling off. The gas milage is 19.5mpg I have a 450hp Vett that gets 23 the transmision in clunky, but that one the dealer does not want to hear. I will be trading this car in on somthing else soon and it will not be a Saturn
