Pros: ac and quietness
Advice: buy it. you can get 2 for the price of 1 530 i and have enough left over for a house paymenti went from an 02 530i and i really like this car. it is quiet and comfortable with much better ac and radio controls. brakes are not as good as the bmw and because or the 6 speed tran, it does have to downshift more often in the mountains
Pros: engine and trans
Cons: door panels could look nicer
Advice: xr is a drivers carsi have driven camry, accord bmw 328i,altima 3.5,fision sel, this aura xr is the biggest bang for the buck !! good looks, 3.6 engine great, tight handling for front wheel drive, features are plentyfull, layout of dash and seating just right. look at all the things this car come with from remote start, telescoping steering wheel, headphones for the rear seat, the list goes on , and to boot the remakable on star system. this is a screeming deal eapecially for the money !!! saved thousands buying this car, and i am real happy!!
Cons: Driver seat is somewhat narrow but managable.
Advice: Give it a drive, you will certainly be impressed and shocked that this is a Saturn!I test drove several vehicles including the new Camry, G6, and Milan and ended up purchasing the Saturn Aura. I absolutely fell in love with it. The interior is nicer than some luxury cars and I had to go with the leather. I just graduated from college and was looking for an affordable, quality car. Let me tell you, I never in a million years thought I would drive a Satrun, but give this vehicle a try and you will fall in love. I couldn't be happier and I absolutely love the LED taillights and the interior!!! Great job Satrun!
Pros: The outside styling.
Cons: That you have to get the XR to get the 14-spoke wheels
Advice: Give it a chance you will be impressedI think the car drives and rides great. Probably the most quiet ride you can get under $25,000.
Pros: 3.6 V6, loaded, solid car, Traction control = safety
Cons: The backseat could use an arm rest, but I can live without this.
Advice: You'll get a great car for the moneyI test drove an Aura and was so impressed with the car, that I bought the XR trim! I love my new car! This car blows DOORS on my old Toyota! You will not find a better value on a midsize sedan for under $30K that is a 3.6 V6, totally LOADED, 5 year/100K warranty, comfortable/quiet ride, OnStar, every safety feature available AND best of all it's SHARP looking! I've had this car for a while, with no problems at all. I feel I made a great decision. If you're in the market for a midsize sedan, go test drive the Aura, you will be impressed!
Pros: outside appearance
Cons: the drive
Advice: compare with othersDrove XE & XR. Steering extremely stiff - hated it immediately. Deliberately hit some bumps & rocked all the passengers -- not absorbing enough. Punched it for power, & got treated to sputtering & 3 whiny shifts, all only up to 40 mph! Inside was cheap looking -- my husband's Ram truck built in 2001 was nicer looking! The car looks fantastic on the outside, but what a disappointment to drive.
Pros: panaramic sunroof
Cons: placement of sideview mirror controls
Advice: take a test drive and get ready to be impressedTest drove top of the line XR package. Very impressed with it being a Saturn. Lots of comfort and 'creature features'. Rear passenger audio control is a plus for long trips with kids. Dealer told me it came with wireless headphones. Enjoyed the 6 speed 'triptronic' style manual shifting and how effortlessly it shift down as you come to a stop. Remote starting is an added bonus as I test drove in January 2007. All that under $30,000 is a very good deal considering the competition. Looking at a 2006 Hyundai Azera also.
