Pros: How it handles
Cons: Interior design is very functional but errs on the side of simplicity
Advice: Look for discounts because this car is not going to stay in production for much longerI've had my 2006 92X linear for less than two months and I've already put over 5k miles on it. So far I have been very pleased with every mile. I can honestly say I look forward to driving this car. It has all the good qualities of the Subaru Impreza and none of the bad. It handles better, is MUCH quieter, looks quite a bit better (in my opinion), and has a better waranty. It inherited Subarus AWD which handles better than anything else on snowy/icy roads (I live in Utah), get's great gas milleage for an AWD vehicle, has decent power for a 4 cylinder engine, and after driving for 9+ hours I hop out of this car without feeling even slightly sore of cramped (I'm 6' 2'). I also test drove an Imprezza, Audi A3, Mini Cooper, new Beetle, and Honda Civic. The choice was easy. The 92X was the perfect balance of everything I was looking for. The A3 was better in some ways but much more expensive and head/leg space wasn't as comfortable.
Pros: The Seats and the power from the turbo
Cons: cup holder
Advice: Compare it to BMW or MB and you will see what a buy this car isBest ride for the $$$
Pros: The comfort
Advice: should shop aroundVery good overall driving experience, good strong engine and comfortable seating even with long road trips.
Pros: All around driving experience
Cons: stock stereo
Advice: Don't overlook this rare gem if you find oneI drive 48 miles one way to and from work, and to sum it up, I want to keep driving when I get there. I have a Black Linear w/cold/sunroof/5mt and love every exhilerating moment. Yes the stereo could be better, and the armrest could be higher, but the cornering is out of sight. 50 around a 25 mph curve in the rain. No tire slippage. Also got to 100 mph easily. And over 30 mpg when I drive it easy. I love this car.
Pros: Everything, especially the performance and the look.
Cons: Completely satisfied...
Advice: Nothing to tell them... Just go and test-drive....The 9-2xwill speak for itselfI bought a 92x Aero with manual a month ago. Black... It looks terrific. It is the perfect mixture of a family car with a sports/performance car. The acceleration is incredible. It is just like riding a motorbike. The exterior, although similar to Subaru Outback / Sport in profile, is unique becasue of the classical Saab front, which gives it an aggressive look. And the price is incredible nowadays for a car of this class.
Pros: everything!! good cargo room, smooth ride, great price.
Cons: maybe a little more storage??
Advice: buy this car!! wonderful deal, great car!just bought a 9-2x a couple days ago. wonderful car! paid 19k for the linear model w/cold weather package, auto tran & moonroof. going to have to order the armrest extension, but interior is very comfortable, classy & the car is a very nice ride. i love it!! i had done lots of research before purchasing this car and had been car shopping for over a month and am VERY pleased with my purchase!! buy one!
Pros: All wheel drive
Cons: a bit of turbo lag
Advice: buy it!!! If you don't want a manual tranny buy the Linear modelYes this is a Subaru WRX with some extra toys and refinements. Better reliability than most 'real Saabs' as well. The 92-X Aero is worth the 3K premium pricing over the WRX. The 3K buys you- quieter interior, longer warranty, better suspension, nicer interior and exterior, Saab service (loaner car), and options such as leather interior. The car is quick 0-60 in 6 seconds and has great handling. The hatch makes it versatile for a small car. Considered the Volvo V50, but it is not as sporty. Buy the V50 if you prefer a touring car with extra toys over performance.
