    2008 Saab 9-3 - Aero FWD Convertible

Had it for one week+ and love it. Great style (specially the front), cockpit look and feel to the driver's side, convertible is great, hugs the road, excellent acceleration (normal and sport modes .. the sport mode is unbelievable), lots of fun and useful gadgets, not worried about Saab's bankruptcy. Love it!

    2008 Saab 9-3 - Aero FWD Convertible

Love the looks; great features and added options (xenon lights that act when turning); great performance and acceleration; love the soft top convertible; love the car... only have had it for 2 months but have driven it a lot (just over 2K miles) to get very familiar; lots of looks; seems of high quality engineering.

    2008 Saab 9-3

    Fun ride

Pros: The engine. It can be a smooth operator that when pushed, becomes a true sports car.

    Cons: Plastic interior bits.

I've had my TurboX now for almost two years. It is still fun to drive and extremely comfortable on lengthy trips. Performance is very good overall with more fun above 3000 rpm. Mileage is not bad for a car with thus much power (averaging 24 overall). Simple and easy to operate. I would highly recommend a Saab to anyone looking for luxury and performance that doesn't want to look like all the other German cars on the road.

    2004 Saab 9-3

Has looks and engine, but falls short elsewhere

    Pros: Engine

    Cons: Quality

This vehicle is very poorly constructed. I have had nothing but trouble since I bought it. I've had 2 inches of water in the floor from a leak under the hood somewhere, the gearshift knob has comes off in my hand several times despite being fixed, parts fall off, trim comes off, computer stops working, the list goes on and on. It's slow torture. Through it all, the engine runs great - never a problem there.

    2006 Saab 9-3

    Saftey and Fun in One

    Pros: Safety

    Cons: none

This is our 2nd Saab 9-3 Convertable ,what can one say. It handles nicely great in the snow and several standard safety features. don't listen to the critics or posters that have never even drove the cars they comment on. Saab has a great warranty program to back it.Our last Saab convertable was involved in a collision,my wife was hit in the driver door at 50mph. It pushed her 50 ft. through an intersection. After the jaws of life cut the door to get her out she walked away with just a bruise from the seat belt. Does safety have a price ?. All cars peform well in front or rear impacts but a lateral hit is the true test of a great automobile.

    2008 Saab 9-5

    Pretty Good Car. Excellent Value

    Pros: Front-seat comfort.

    Cons: Cabin fan noise

Several years back, I wanted to go upscale from the usual family sedans/wagons. I thought the SAAB 9-5 was the ticket because it was subdued enough that it wouldn't draw unwanted attention. Well, the SAAB 9-5 I bought blew me away. So much so, I just bought a 2008 9-5. I love it. I appreciate all the details which the automotive press chooses to cite as examples of 'quirkiness:' the window lift switches and the ignition in the center consol. It makes perfect sense to me. I believe the size of the car is perfect for tooling around town or a road trip of several days' duration. The doors are wide enough and light enough to make ingress/egress easy and dignified. The power is more than sufficient and traction control makes driving in snow very secure. As you can tell, I have become a SAAB enthusiast!
