Pros: Ventilated seats, sport mode,Harman Kardon stereo and unique styling.
Cons: Vibration during red light stoppage.
Advice: Go for a used one, you will get the best deal for a luxirious, sport sedan.I have had my SAAB 95 Arc for about 6 months and it is absolutely trouble free. I have taken it on long trips which dazzled me bcos of its performance. I test drove infiniti G35 and a volvo S 60 before settling for the Saab.If you don't want to own a Saab, then never test drive one.
Pros: The comfort
Advice: should shop aroundVery good overall driving experience, good strong engine and comfortable seating even with long road trips.
Advice: Compare with other cars before buying.I actually bought the 9-5 and then within two weeks decided to trade it for another car. The seats in the 2005 9-5 were uncomfortable for a 200 lb. adult. The seats in the older Saabs that I have owned were much better. The car performed very well, and this car has plenty of acceleration with the Turbo...with little lag. Cornering and manuvering was excellent. Overall design of this car is excellent. A bit expensive when compared to other vehicles in this class.
Pros: understated and fast
Cons: a little soft of the corners...a little heavy upfront.
Advice: if you can't afford a 5 series BMW this is the next best thing.Just drove a 9-5 Aero, its a great car, good handling, fast with just a very little turbo lag. Great sound system, comfortable seats, does not corner like a 5 series bimmer but is a wonderful high way and city cruiser with lots of power to pass.
Pros: The car
Cons: needs a multiple in dash cd
Advice: get the touring packageAfter testing the 9-5 I drove off in my 2002 Acura TL which I love, the Saab is far superior in feel, handling and just plain presence.
Pros: Heated & Cooled Seats
Cons: Single In-Dash CD
Advice: Get the AeroGreat looking wagon, with lots of interior space, safety features, good handling / brakes and great gas mileage. The real bonus is the power, it's just flat fast if you need to go fast. The interior is nicely appointed, not as nice as Audi(Tops) or Lexus but equal to BMW or Mercedes(really). It's a nice value with all the nice options except heated and cooled seats and BiXenon headlamps standard. OnStar is a nice feature that is standard. If you don't need the room of SUV or Minivan, for a family of 4, or 3 and dog it can't be beat.
Pros: Turbo power on demand
Cons: Console positioned cup holder
Advice: Test drive it and 'open it up'.Have owned for 30 days and have driven over 2,000 miles through rain, snow, sleet and very cold and dry weather. It handles superbly. The 'W' button actually let's you feel the computer controlling the traction in the individual wheels. The 'S' button make this feel like a sports car. Braking is excellent and the 'feel' of the ASB is so slight you hardly notice it. Wonderful sound system. Exceeds my expectations. Well done Swedes!
