The Ram Truck Brand recently announced that the Zac Brown Band would be the fourth act to play at this year’s Ram Jam, an exclusive concert event that will see five of the top names in country music entertain fans at a small-stage setting in Nashville. The group will join Kellie Pickler, Brantley Gilbert, Easton Corbin and one more artist—who will be revealed in August—on Dec. 29, 2012, for an intimate evening of music that will only be enjoyed by winners of the Ram Jam sweepstakes.
It is, of course, part of a national promotion for the Ram 1500, which also will have a starring role in the festivities: All artists involved will receive a complimentary lease of a RAM pickup—Zac Brown will be rolling in a Ram 1500 Laramie Longhorn model—then auction the truck for charity at lease end. For Brown, that means the new Camp Southern Ground, set to open in 2014 on 500 acres of land in Georgia that the musician donated for the project. The camp will be for children aged 7-17, with and without special needs, and build on efforts to “allow children to overcome academic, social and emotional difficulties so they may reach their full potential by providing them with the opportunity and tools necessary to achieve excellence in all facets of their lives."
“To me, there’s nothing more important than helping kids, and it’s great to know that with support from our friends and fans, this camp is going to make a huge difference in the lives of each and every camper,” said Brown.
