S550 4MATIC Starts from $119,900
2015 mb s class coupe
With the four-door model already dominating the full-size luxury-sedan market, the 2015 Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe will go on sale this month as the "most exclusive model" in the brand's current portfolio. Needless to say, the car will offer both pricing and content to match that title, too: The entry point to the 2015 Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe—the S550 4MATIC Coupe—is set at $119,900, and Mercedes calls out premium design highlights like heated armrests, seats that provide hot-stone massage functionality, an ionized air-purification system, an audiophile-level sound system from Burmeister, and a robust Driver Assistance Package featuring DISTRONIC PLUS with Steering Assist.
That last feature will help push the ol' envelope for autonomous driving in this country, thanks to its ability to leverage radar-based cruise control and semi-automatic steering inputs in some road scenarios.
Of course, the heart of the matter, and the key differentiator among the 2015 Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe models, can be found beneath their hoods:
The 2015 Mercedes-Benz S550 4MATIC Coupe, which is bolstered by M-B's signature all-wheel-drive technology, starts at the aforementioned $119,900 with a 4.7-liter bi-turbo V8 capable of 449 hp, 516 lb.-ft. of torque and a 0-60 time of 4.5 seconds.
Also with all-wheel-drive is the S63 AMG 4MATIC, with an MSRP of $160,900 and a hand-built AMG 5.5-liter V8 that relies on twin turbos for 577 hp, 664 lb.-ft. of torque and a 0-60 sprint of just 3.9 seconds.
Finally, at the top of the range for the 2015 Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe will be the incredible S65 AMG Coupe. Available solely with rear-wheel drive, the S65 will leverage a 6.0-liter AG V12 engine to produce 621 horses, 738 lb.-ft. of torque and an as yet unverified 0-60 performance. Scheduled for a December release, the S65 AMG has an MSRP of $230,900.
The 2015 Mercedes-Benz S-Class Sedan is on sale now from $94,400.
