Pros: for a not a high priced car has a nice mean look
Advice: get it get it and get it!AWESOME I LOVE IT
Pros: Ecotech engine
Cons: Fixed interval intermitant wipers, where's the variable
Advice: Ecotech enginI purchased the sedan with the Ecotech engine, and have been very pleased with the way it performs. I am confident that at any time I get into the gas, I will quickly pass the obstacle, or get up to speed when entering the interstate. I recently had an opportunity to drive a sedan with the standard SOHC engine, and let's just say I felt robbed vs my DOHC Ecotech equipped car. If you are looking at the sunfire, spend the extra $250, and get the Ecotech; you'll be happier with the performance. If you are driving the car hard at all, the Ecotech actually gets better gas mileage than the standard does.
Pros: Economical fuel consumption is great.
Cons: A bit small for a big guy like me, but like I say, great for a younger driver.
Advice: Get airconditioning and Amsoil synthetic lubricants as soon as posible. See www.gastown.com/catalogRelatively quick response and handling for the size, this makes an excellent asset for a young driver. Our model doesn't have some features you would expect in a car of that price, time have changed. Storage for travel bags is more than adequate, even a snow board or skiis will fit if nobody's in the back. After a good Amsoil Car Polish treatment, it stayed amazingly clean after driving through some rain.
Pros: The whole car
Cons: I liked it all
Advice: GET IT!!!One of the best cars I have ever owned. Absolutely awesome to drive!!!!
Pros: Great look for the price
Cons: Reliability and workmanship
Advice: Look elsewhere....I owned a 1999 Sunfire GT Convertible. It was clearly the worst car I have ever owned. Within months of buying it the roof malfunctioned, the windows were forced out of alignment, and soon thereafter the electrical problems kicked in. I finally got a lemon buy-back on mine, but I have heard nothing but horror stories from other owners of 1999 Sunfires. In fact, a popular consumer reporting group gave the 99 a 1 out of 5 for reliability. Maybe they have gotten better..... but maybe not.
Pros: Excellent styling/design.
Advice: If you want quality, comfort, appearance and value all in one... BUY NOW!The Sunfire SE may not have the power of some other vehicles in its class, but it more than makes up for this point in the style department. For a young person on budget, such as myself, the Sunfire SE gives you the best bang for your hard-earned buck. I would highly recommend this vehicle to anyone.
Pros: The PRIDE I feel in driving her!
Cons: That she cannot stay shiny clean all of the time.
Advice: You cannot go wrong with a Sunfire.I had a 1998 Sunfire that was recently totaled out in an accident. The car sustained a great of damage (hit on the driver's side) yet I was not seriously injured. I was heart broken, as I have loved my red Sunfire. I shed many tears, but have been fortunate to replace her with a 2002 Sunfire -- the same BEAUTIFUL red as my first one!!! Now I am proudly driving Tamale Mobile II.
