‘Body Paint’ Print Ad Complements ‘Body Issue’
Following the old “a picture is worth a thousand words” strategy, let’s let this eye-popping image of a Fiat 500 Abarth Cabrio stand by itself. Well, almost.
I’ll just note that, as sharp-eyed viewers can tell, this isn’t actually a car. It’s more a living sculpture of a Fiat 500 Abarth Cabrio that’s been fashioned by carefully positioning a team of more than a dozen people into an Abarth-shaped mass. The image was created as part of a new print ad for ESPN The Magazine’s recently released Body Issue, which apparently has the same goal as the ad itself: Providing a chance for folks “to admire the vast potential of the human form.”
Or, as explained by Jason Stoicevich, Head of FIAT Brand North America: "We wanted to create a concept for ESPN The Magazine's Body Issue that was as visually unique as the Fiat 500 Abarth Cabrio.
“The notion of the 'Body Paint' print ad conveying athletic grace in a magazine that specifically devotes itself to covering athletes around the world sparked a perfect union for the FIAT Brand."
