2004 Nissan Titan - SE 4x4 King Cab

Pros: Engine, Transmission, towing capability, and VDC stability control

Cons: There is nothing I don't like, after the brakes were fixed under warranty

Advice: I've owned Chevy and Ford and the Titan simply blows them away! Buy One.

If you need a truck that is capable to pull and tow, comfortable and extremely safe, this is your truck. The power is awesome, the 5 speed tranny is perfect. I tow vans on a large trailer over the Rockies daily and the truck is a beast over 12,000 foot passes towing 7000 pounds. Most importantly, the truck with VDC is so safe. I have driven it through white-out blizzards with no visibility where the highway was littered with stuck cars. I have climbed from 5400 to 9200 feet in elevation through one foot of unplowed snow at night. Steer it where you want to go, and it will take you there safely! Just press the gas, it will regulate the throttle for you and hit some individual brakes to keep you straight. It has never swerved or slipped. I do recommend winter tires if you're driving like I do! Bridgestone Blizzaks are doing awesome with the Titan! The truck is comfortable and very refined. Clean off the snow and mud and drive it out to dinner! :-) Nissan Quality is proven. I have owned nothing but Nissan and Infiniti for 15 years. I'm glad they finally made me a real truck!

2004 Nissan Titan - LE 4x4 Crew Cab

    Pros: Navigation

    Cons: spray in liner

    Advice: Toyota

The rear differential leaked around 5000 miles. The spray in bed liner turned white / nissan did nothing. Have had problems with the sunroof. They replaced the brakes.

2004 Nissan Titan - LE 4x2 King Cab

    Pros: smooth ride

    Cons: braking system

Advice: Keep your eyes and ears open on the rudders/shudders on this vechile.

This truck has a serious shudder issue. If Nissan expect to keep this truck on the Market. They need to invest in better shudders. My truck has been in the shop four times for this issue. They have installed the NEW kit twice. Nissan states that this only happens with trucks bought in the city. Unfortunately, I live in a city and not in the country. NISSAN CORRECT YOUR ISSUES AND WILL HAVE THE BEST TRUCK ON THE MARKET.

2004 Nissan Titan - LE 4x4 King Cab

    Pros: The whole truck!!

    Cons: nothing

Advice: One drive, and it's done. You'll buy it...

This is a very smart smart buy for potential truck buyers. The powerband seems limitless, comfort is top notch, and it performs better than any other big truck on the road today. I have had a minor issue w/ the brakes at about 4000 miles, but that was taken care of by the dealer. I would not hesitate to purchase another one.

2004 Nissan Titan - SE 4x4 King Cab

Pros: The power and the way is handles

Cons: The odd size 18 tires

Advice: test drive the Titan and then test drive another truck to see the difference

I had a 01 Frontier crew cab and was looking at the Titan. I was impressed how it handled on the road. It didn't feel like i was in a truck. The power is very inpressive with and with out a full load I couldn't tell the difference. Never had a truck that so many people stared at when I am driving even from the big (3) owners. Gas rating is what you should expect from this big truck if you are looking for good gas milage go with smaller engine vehicle. It is well worth your time to test drive this truck and then compare with another truck to really understand what Nissan has with the Titan.

2004 Nissan Titan - SE 4x4 King Cab

    Pros: Interior set up.

    Cons: Overall Quality

Advice: Keep what you have or get a Dodge HEMI. There is NO difference in gas mileage.

The truck drove well during the test drive. They didn't have the color I wanted so they located one from another dealer. Within a week after getting the truck, everything started going bad. Cross threaded lag bolts and missing bolts in the frame, rotors needed to be turned and new brake pads installed. The windshield washer fluid wouldn't come out. The drivers window would take 5-10 minutes to come up. The plexi-glass in front of the speedometer along with the dash squeak and rattle. The passanger seat has been to the shop 3 times for loose screws and rusty under carriage that drive you nuts while driving. The center console between the seats was warped and required replacement
