2014 Nissan Rogue, LEAF Help Support American Roots Music

With the 2014 Nissan Rogue crossover and LEAF electric vehicle taking center stage, Nissan recently announced a two-year gig as the Exclusive Automotive partnership of the Americana Music Association. The Association is "a professional trade organization whose mission is to advocate for the authentic voice of American Roots Music around the world," while the partnership is a next step for Nissan's Nashville Proud initiative, celebrating the hometown of both Nissan North America and Americana.

According to Jed Hilly, executive director of the latter: "The Americana Music Association is committed to authenticity, integrity and artistic qualities. Nissan echoes similar sentiments and is committed to having a positive effect on Nashville and beyond. We are thrilled to enter in to this partnership and cannot wait to see the sound waves and miles of impact we'll make together."

Be that as it may, a key facet of the partnership will be showing off some of the latest Nissan products at some of the biggest roots-music events, like the upcoming America Music Festival and Conference, scheduled for Sept. 17-21, 2014, in Nashville. There, as mentioned, the 2014 Nissan Rogue and LEAF are expected to be in the spotlight during all four days of festivities, which will include some 165 live performances in nine Nashville-area venues, symposiums at the Country Music Hall of Fame, the annual Americana Honors and Awards, and a headline concert featuring the Avett Brothers.
