Buyer Beware
Pros: roomy and quiet
Cons: transmission failure
I generally enjoy my Murano. After several american bombs I switched to Nissan in 2003. Unfortunately the Japanese are no more customer-centered than the USA! They have a major PROBLEM with the CVT transmission for which they refuse to initiate a recall. I'm talking biggggg bucks for repair. It is systemic and affects models over multiple years. I wish that automakers would step up and be accountable for their errors. If not for how they handled this issue I would have purchased another one.Awesome
Great and comfortable!!Pros: looks of it, comfort, stylishness
Cons: nothing yet
Advice: Don't buy a Ford
Love it, love it, love it! Had it for only one day and already have fallen in love with it. Handles gracefully, is incredibly comfortable, especially the back seat - love the adjustable seats. Visibility from the driver's seat is terrific and the stereo and nav systems are a blast!Pros: exterior design
Cons: gas mileage consumption
Advice: buy it it is same quality like top names (BMW, Lexus) with thousands less
Fun to drive and very smooth transmission. Powerful engine and strong road handling. sharp exterior design and spacious interior with lots of room in the trunk.Pros: The design - its a really good looking vehicle!
Cons: The comfort of the drivers seat on extended trips.
Advice: Very good choice. Especially if you are new to an SUV.
I bought my Murano 10 months ago. Its not had any problems, mechanically or otherwise. Its a great SUV without the oversized feeling. Drives more like a car / minivan. The interior room is great. The drivers seat does get a bit uncomfortable during long drives. The seat cushion is a bit stiff, could be softer. Other than that, I've not found anything about this vehicle I don't like. It was my first transition from cars to something bigger and I think I made a great choice.Pros: The space inside. Tons of room for the driver, passengers and cargo. The main reason is the performance on the highway.
Cons: The cup holders.
Advice: Buy it.
I've had it for almost 2 years now and it has been an extremely fun and maintence free SUV to drive. It handles really well on the road, and is very comfortable for driving long distances. The radio that comes with it sounds really good.Pros: AWD
Cons: no adjustable brake/gas pedal in the base model
Advice: If it's in your budget, get the 'popular package'
Handled steep hill without hearing gears shifting. Smooth highway cruising. Lots of leg room in front. If it's in your budget, go for the 'popular package' with the adjustable brake/gas pedals. Test drove with the feature, but bought the base model without any options. Being just under 5 feet, it would be nice to have the pedals come out to meet me, instead of adjusting the seat.My only regret. Love the power seats. Easy exiting. Can't wait to see what it does in the snow! Didn't even consider any other vehicle once I saw the Murano and took it for a drive.
