Pros: smart key
Cons: smart key
Advice: smart key not so smart
On a scale of 1-10, I give the 2007 maxima a 4 for the smartkey lock on the driver door which can be easily compromised,If the lock is tampered with it automatically shorts a circuit which in turn disables the factory alarm and lowers both front windows thereby granting an intruder access to the car. It's costing me almost $2000 to fix that through my insurance with a $500 deductible, whats to stop another break-in from happening again.I spoke to nissan bout it and they seem not to be of much help.So for all you prospective nissan buyers be careful of the sleek looking maxima but not so secure smartkey systemPros: Comfort
Cons: No traction control.
Advice: You are in for a pleasant surprise!
Very smooth, no engine noise and transmission shift practically negligible. No outside turbulence noise! The leather seats are supportive and comfy. The driving experience is sporty, and mountain passing is a breeze. All appointments including fit and finish are well constructed. While I bought a 2004 in 2006 with low miles, the value is beyond the cost. I was thinking Accord, sure glad I picked the Maxima. Overall a sporty yet mature cruiser. Uphill loaded to Flagstaff I got 24.5 mpg's and return mileage was 32 mpg's downhill unloaded. Oh, I almost forgot, ice cold a/c!Pros: The display screen is my favorite feature.
Cons: What I liked the least was that the skyview should have been over the driver
Advice: If you need a roomy family car with a fun kick to it get a Maxima.
Excellent feeling vehicle with the windows up or down. Roomy interior, controls easily accessible and user friendly. Spacious trunk and basic sound system impressive. Road noise at a minimum. My wife loves the ride very much. Best car under $30,000 I have ever driven. The gas mileage for a six cylinder is pretty good.Pros: Nav. system. My son likes the rear sunshade
Cons: Road noise
Advice: Get Elite model and enjoy features.
Great performance for the price. Replaced factory wheels with 20' and received nothing but good comments. Road noise need improvement. To much power for front wheel drive. Elite model has more features than most high price luxury cars. Best car ever for under $35,000 including the G35 sadan.Pros: the nav and the way the car looks
Cons: The road noise was really bad
Advice: Dont pay too much for it
The car drove great but you need like about 4 test drive to really get the feel of the carPros: the car itself
Cons: the Vibration
Advice: don't get an 04 05 or 06 the 07 has a new rack
My first 2005 maxima. I wanted a max for 10 years. I got it 9 months ago. I have had it in the shop 5 times for a from end vibration still there. They tightend up the rack, road balance and even changed the tires still have the problem. The dealer told me that the rack is then problem and can't be fixed. Nissan needs to recal this and put new steering racks on these cars. Same problem with the nissan quest but they replaced the rack and fixed the problem.Pros: LOOKS & SPEED,BUT FRT WHEEL DRIVE PULLS BAD
Cons: TRANSMISSION AUTO & SO-CALLED MANUAL MODE
Advice: TRY SOMETHING ELSE
MY 4TH MAXIMA & TO MY SURPRISE THE WORST, THE OTHER 3 EXCELLENT.GAS MILEAGE POOR AND NO-WHERE NEAR RATINGS (17.5 AVG)..SO-CALLED AUTO-MANUAL SHIFT FOR THE SPORT IN YOU,FORGET IT ,IT SLIPS . ROAD NOISE IN THE REAR, THEY TELL ME DUE TO THE 18' TIRES ? FRONT END SHOCKS OR SUSPENSION RATTLE,SOUNDS LIKE A 3 OR 4 YEAR OLD CAR.NOW THE SPRINGS IN THE DRIVERS SEAT ARE MOVING, NOT OVERWIEGHT!...........CAR IS 6 MONTHS OLD,,.A MISTAKE
