Cons: we have too many problems with it. we only had it for almost 2 months....
Advice: DON'T BUY ONE EXSPECIALLY FROM LEBLANC NISSAN IN GONZALESIt drives good...but thats all it does!!!!!!!!Dont buy one!!!!
Pros: The outside looks of the vehicle
Cons: The proformance. The crewcab has a lot more power than the kingcab though
Advice: Great truck, but, from a dead stop it does not have enough get up and go power. This is a great compact truck.I work out of mine and drive on an average 150 miles a day. After buying the xe crewcab 3.3 liter,I was getting 15 miles per gallon in the city.I added a K&N air filter and a magnaflow single in and out muffler and am now getting a little over 18 miles per gallon in the city.If I had it to do all over again I would still pick the Nissan crewcab.
Pros: cool tailgate, very reliable.
Cons: Seats are not comfortable on a long haul.
Advice: buy itI bought this truck to replace my 2000 Nissan Frontier king cab truck. The 00 had been in a wreck in which the insurance people should have totalled it, but didn't (a classic case of the truck was never the same afterwards). I loved my '00, it took the crash well (hit in the rear passenger corner from someone losing control coming down an on ramp on the highway). I love my '02 also. Took a drivers side head on collision a few months after I bought it from a woman who turned left in front of me because she 'didn't see me ' drving down the road. Anyways, it handled the crash well and I was not injured, she on the other hand, driving a Nissan Altima, was - broken arm and totalled car. Anyways - I love my Nissan truck. The longbed is just big enough to get a scoop of gravel into it without any pouring on to the ground. The seats are pretty firm and can get annoying after a few hours of driving. The back seat is small, but a big improvement over jump seats. The A/C seems a little weak. I have about 97,000 miles on it right now and have not had any major problems. the four wheel drive engages pretty easily and holds its own in the snow. I drove home from Delaware in a major snowstorm and it never once lost its footing! I have had some rotor problems, but just needed to get them turned to within an inch of their life which was early on and covered under warranty. The digital odometer is not functioning properly, this started at around 80,000 miles, Everything else is great - no problems! I highly recommend this truck.
Pros: truck bed accessories. engine
Advice: drive everything elase then drive the the frontieri have had the le crew cab for a week and a half and i have put 2,000 miles on it. great gas mileage and very comfortable. i have been back to the dealer for 3 (hopefully) isolated items. there were 3 le door handles and 1 se door handle, dealer fixed no questions asked. there is a rattle that can not be located. it sounds like someone on the assembly line left a srewdriver in the frame of the truck. for $28k and new the last thing i want to hear is that rolling up against metal. going back in to the dealer to start to take the truck apart. lastly, the engine in low gears has a rattle as well. my last nissan has 200k in 4 years and not one problem. i am confident these problems will be fixed. i am somewhat annoyed but after driving everything else would buy the frontier over the tacoma, ridgeline, colorado and dakota.
Pros: The POWER
Cons: dash is kind of chincy
Advice: Don't pay for the NISMO unless you are actually in to 4 wheelin. The same price buys the LE with more 'luxury' itemsI have 800 miles on my new Frontier LE so I really can't speak to long term issues. Short term is WOW ! This is my fourth Nissan truck since 1997 so I have quite a bit of experience. This truck is far and away the most powerful, comfortable and fun to drive truck Nissan has put on the road. It is higher than my 2003 and laughs at potholes with the 17' wheels. The bed is shorter but wider than previous trucks, but is perfectly good once the bed extender is dropped in to place. The flip up backseats are awesome. Now the dogs can sit on the floor in back and not get fur all over the seats. This transmission is light years ahead of previous years. It actually chooses the right gear consistantly with no hesitation.
Advice: Best truck in it's classGreat vehicle all around. Ride is smooth, has plenty of head and leg room, powerful, fast and quick acceleration. Definite head-turner.
Cons: Dash & plastics, including cheap door panels
Advice: Good ChoiceVery quiet and solid, alot of content for the money, great motor/transmission set up. I like the 5-speed auto and the truck feels alot larger inside than the prior models.
