Not inspiring but reliable
Pros: Gas mileage
Cons: Rattles and brakesGood ride but lots of rattles. Good gas mileage with the 4 cylinder but not very responsive. Not a big fan of the CVT transmission. It is smooth but slow off the line. Be careful pulling into traffic. Roomy inside with a large trunk. Nice feel to most interior materials. Brakes are not good. They are very touchy and noisy. I have had the pads replaced twice in 25k miles. Key fob is kind of annoying because it is constantly setting off the alarm or rolling down the windows or unlocking the doors. I guess it's because of kneeling down and putting pressure on it when it's in my pocket. Paint has several rock chips for a car that sees little hwy miles. Not sure if the paint is thin or of poor quality or maybe I'm just unlucky. Would not but again.
Pros: cruise control
Cons: vent system floor vents could be better. passenger seat is not as comfortable as driver seat, and I think that can also be improved.Very dependable 7 years of no headaches
Altima is great
Pros: space in the car is great
Cons: sometimes the powerI have a Lexus Convert, but I love to drive my charming little Altima. Just one nice ride, can hole lots of stuff
One of the best vehicles
Pros: there are several
Cons: the way it ridesThe vehicle has been garage kept. It has given me excellent service at very little cost.
Best midsize for the money!
Cons: Rear leg room. 2003 had more!Had a 2003 Altima which was great! Wanted the gadgets on the 2007 (keyless, CVT). Car is extemely comfortable, handles beautifully and gets excellent mileage. Is definitely a good looker compared to much of the competition. Have 50k trouble free miles. I would buy another Altima. The 2.5 engine is more than sufficient. Love my Altima!!!
super buy feature for feature
Pros: cv transmission with manual shift feature
Cons: have to buy costly package to get fog lightsi shopped most comparable size and priced autos. fusion, accord, malibu, sonata, milan. to be sure i added nissan altima last. one drive and I was hooked and wife agreed. after two months and 2400 miles not a single problem. rides and drives like a much bigger auto. 34.1 mpg on long trip. 25-27 around town. three minor snits for me: no auto daytime driving lights[required in canada so i know it wouln't be a costly feature] , power retention when shutting down does not go to radio, only windows. to get fog lights must buy about$1000 package or $500 after market. nothing I can't live without but for such a fine vehicle it should happen.
DEPENDABLE LOW MAINTENANCE VEHICLE
Pros: Performance of 4 cylinder automatic has great acceleration.
Cons: Bumpy rideOur 2005 Altima 2.5S has over 90,000 miles on it and has been a very dependalble car with no problems except the usual maintenance like tires, battery and brakes. Ride is kind of choppy because of the low profile tires, but otherwise a great car. Not even any rust in an area that is known for rust problems. Smooth running car that we can count on.
