Changes for the 2013 Nissan Altima Coupe:

When the Nissan Altima Coupe first debuts, some referred to it as a poor man’s Infiniti G37 Coupe. As Nissan prepares to either replace or discontinue the Altima Coupe, the car is carried over for 2013 with few changes. The manual gearbox is dropped in favor of a standard continuously variable transmission and the sporty 3.5 SR model and its V-6 engine have been cancelled, but on a brighter note, three new colors are available.

Model Lineup:

A single version of the 2013 Nissan Altima Coupe is on sale, the 2.5 S. The Altima 2.5 S Coupe can be upgraded with a choice between four option packages: Convenience, Premium, Leather, and Technology, and Nissan offers a variety of factory- and dealer-installed accessories for the Altima Coupe.

Engines and Transmissions:

The 2013 Nissan Altima Coupe is equipped with a 175-horsepower, 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine and a CVT that delivers the power to the front wheels. Previously, a manual transmission and a 3.5-liter V-6 were offered in this model, but they have been cancelled for 2013.

Fuel Economy Ratings:

According to the EPA, the 2013 Altima Coupe should return 23 mpg in the city and 32 mpg on the highway, for a combined rating of 26 mpg.

Safety Ratings:

The only safety rating offered for the 2013 Altima Coupe by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is a 5-star rollover resistance rating. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) does not offer specific ratings for the 2013 Altima Coupe. The structurally identical 2012 Altima models, however, received “Good” ratings in the moderate overlap frontal-impact and side-impact tests, combined with “Acceptable” ratings for roof crush strength and rear-impact injury prevention.

Technology Highlights:

Optional features for the 2013 Altima Coupe include Bluetooth hands-free calling and music streaming, a USB port with iPod control, a reversing camera, and a navigation system with real-time traffic and weather reports. Models with the navigation system also provide DVD playback capability as well as auxiliary audio and video input jacks.
