Cons: host of mechanical problems
Advice: don't buy this vehiclecar stayed in the service department...had many mechanical problems with the car
Advice: If you're looking for a mid-size sedanAs a loyal Toyota buyer for several years, I approached the Altima with caution. But after getting a chance to touch it, drive it, and get to know it a little bit, I quickly fell in love. The styling is way ahead of the Camry, which is a little too vanilla for me. But I was also impressed by the overall feel and quality of the Altima. I bought the 5-speed 2.5, which has plenty of pep and is fun to drive. Now if only I can keep my wife out of it!
Pros: Cool interior, cool exteriror, engine roar, the engine itself, just too many pluses
Cons: no hood scoops
Advice: Go ahead. Buy it. You cannot go wrong with this awesome car.The last time I bought a new car was in 1991 when I bought a Toyota Camry. Well that car had 318,000 miles on it and got about $1,900 for it, not bad for a 15 year old car. I am also planning to trade in my 87 Nissan pick up, that one with 347,000 miles on it. The Nissan Altima looked great and all the money the Camry saved us because we had paid it off years ago went toward the down payment. The car is fun to drive, with 6-speed manual and it looks great. It's comfortable, and haven't had any issues yet. And that 3.5L V-6-no wonder why it's award winning. It's smooth, has a great sound, and it's refined. What more could you ask for? The reliability is top notch, so I expect to keep this as long as I did with the Camry.
Pros: Easy to work on and change oil
Cons: See review
Advice: noneThis is my first small car and I like it, gas milage is from 26 to 30 MPG. I have noticed two design flaws, 1) during times of bright sun light you can not see the radio display. 2)Most people can not see the turn signal indicators because the steering wheel is in the way.
Pros: The roominess considering it's a mid-size
Cons: The audio system could stand some tweaking...secondary vibrations occasionally abound.
Advice: Be sure you test-drive in tight quarters if you are used to a smaller car...this thing's big!!After having owned this car for 9000 miles, I continue to be impressed by the performance and economy of operation. 27-29 mpg has been the norm, and the big 4 cylinder really hustles this car along. It has an amazing amount of features for the price, and the interior is HUGE! I originally had been looking at the 2004, but I'm glad I waited for the 2005 as the interior improvment is remarkable...much richer and classier looking than before. And the exterior is top-notch...the best looking midsize sedan on the road, in my opinion.
Pros: The automatic shift gear.
Cons: The car does NOT drive well in the snow
Advice: Good Buy --- definitelyI love the Altima. Never in my life thought I would buy a Nissan. Was definitly a Volkswagon person. However the new features for 2005 Altima 3.5 SE V6 ...a plus...love it. It's roomy and comfortable and has kick to it. Also sporty looking.
Cons: Accelersation very good
Advice: ShopVery comfortable
