Two well-equipped models go on sale in October
2008 Volvo C30 News Brief – New York Auto Show: Volvo officials used the 2007 New York International Auto Show as the platform for announcing pricing of the 2008 C30 hatchback. Due to arrive in October, the brand's two-door hatch will be available in Version 1.0 and Version 2.0 variants. Starting at $23,395 including destination charges, the C30 Version 1.0 comes standard with a 227-horsepower turbocharged engine mated to a six-speed manual transmission, 17-inch alloy wheels, a 160-watt sound system, and more. Version 2.0 starts at $26,395 and adds 18-inch alloy wheels, a body kit, a 650-watt Dynaudio system, aluminum interior trim, and other upgrades.
The 2008 Volvo C30 features a robust list of options. Both Versions can be sprayed with metallic paint for $475, fitted with leather upholstery for $1,200, receive a Geartronic automatic transmission for $1,250, and lighten up with a $1,200 power sunroof. Other add-ons include a navigation system ($2,120), a variety of wheel designs with differing prices, interior inlay kits ranging from $100 to $210, Volvo's Blind Spot Information System (BLIS) for $695, a $400 rear park aid system, and numerous desirable features all priced at less than $1,000.
