Partnership of Nissan and Gibson to create a very unique van
Nissan is the latest automaker to get into the compact work van market with the new NV200 and for the New York Auto Show, they are teaming up with guitar company Gibson to show what this van can be. Called the Gibson NV200 Mobile Repair & Restoration Van, the two companies transformed a normal NV200 van into a mobile workstation to help out musicians wherever the need arises and provide a venue to educate people about the building and repairing of guitars.
The Gibson NV200 Mobile Repair & Restoration Van features a bench that can be extended from the van or pulled out completely. The bench features the tools and equipment need to and build and fix guitars. Along with the bench, the van features a custom rack that holds up to four guitars in various stages of repair and disrepair behind the front seat and a custom sound system provided by Onkyo, Gibson’s consumer electronics brand.
Finishing off the van is a full body wrap featuring various Gibson products and ”Gibson Repair & Restoration” on one side. “The Nissan NV200 Compact Cargo van is perfect for small businesses, entrepreneurs and dreamers. By partnering with Gibson on the NV200 Mobile Repair & Restoration Van, we’re showing the ultimate expression of what can be done with this vehicle for those with a viable business concept, a little creativity and with a starting price of $19,990, an appreciation of great value,” said Joe Castelli, vice president, Commercial Vehicles and Fleet for Nissan North America. The Gibson NV200 Mobile Repair & Restoration Van makes its official debut on March 28th at the New York Auto Show.
