Pros: cruise at 70 mph @ 46 mpg!!!!!
Cons: nothing at this point
Advice: No brainer, used ones cost as much as new ones!!! No gamble, if you don't like it , it has great trade-in value.
Great 'little' vehicle !!! Very roomy inside, lots of fun to drive. I have owned many Hondas in the past, but never a Toyota, wish I had changed emblems years ago. My wife and I (both in our 50's) are really amazed at this technology. We are the second ones in our small south Texas town to own a Prius. Our engineer sons made fun of our 'old lady Honda Pilot' but seem to be impressed with our new acquisition. I am definitely not a tree-hugger, but I am very green conscience when it comes to the green found in my wallet.Pros: The color information monitor
Cons: not having a compass
Advice: Get the leather and backup camera. 'You are going to love this car'.
This is my 2nd Prius (2006), my 1st was hit broadside by an elderly woman who ran a red light at 45+ mph, spinning me around 2 1/2 times. I had no injuries but my 2005 was basically totaled. I get 47+ mpg in mixed driving. The $3,000 tax credit will make savings on the car even better. It is fun to drive and fun to pay attention to your mpg consumption, so you can increase mpg by the way you drive. My best was 51 mpg, not bad with more than adaquate performance. This has the smart key and back up camera a definite plus! Get leather its worth it.Pros: Dash display for Hybrid system
Cons: nothing yet
Advice: I wish they made one in a Truck with the MPG
Wonderful ! If you pay attention to the gas and electric motor display you can save on gas. But its great even if you don't watch the display. I have over one thousand miles and got 50.6 MPG.HWY and city. Things are easy to read and operate. It takes getting used to the motor not being on when you brake or at a stop light. BUT HEY I'M NOT SPENDING IT AT THE PUMPS. Got what I wanted.Pros: Bluetooth Phone Service, Navigation System and Multi-Function Display (MFD)
Cons: The spoiler splitting the rear window has been a challenge to get used too.
Advice: Go now, do not pass goal and get one... you will not be sorry
This car is just fun to drive. If you like gadgets you will love this car. There is a learning curve on how to drive and get the best MPG but even my worst MPG is three times better then my best MPG on my last car. The car is responsive and very easy to drive. The seats may be a little harsh on a 500 mile drive but that is the only comfort issue I see. I have driven up long grades and have had plenty of power. All equipment was easy to use and is the learning curve is fast. Go get one and enjoy.Pros: Saving gas
Cons: That it doesn't run on water. GRIN!
Advice: BUY ONE NOW!
The drive of the Prius is wonderful, it handles the road nicely and there are no blind spots when looking in the mirrors.Pros: Smart Key System
Cons: nothing
Advice: This is a very smart buy
We LOVE this car. It is sleek, smart and practical.Pros: MPG, all controls on stearing wheel, maintenance reminder calendar
Cons: Rear window divides and too small rear wiper. Stearing wheel control lights too dim at night
Advice: Go and test drive one. Then realize that rabbit starts and stops must end to maximize mpg
I bought my Prius in Jan. 2005 and have almost 20,000 miles on it. It has surpassed my expectations. In warmer weather I average anywhere from 50 to 55mpg and in the colder months around 48mpg. I have passing power even going up steep inclines. You do have to lose the rabbit starts and stops to maximize the gas mileage but it is well worth it. Smooth ride and very quite and quite comfortable. The rear window will take some getting used to. I'm sold and am waiting for the hybrid van line up for my next family vehical purchase.
