Pros: usable roof rack
Cons: no seat warmers for the rear seats
Advice: With vans you get what you pay for. If you do not spend enough then you will be disappointed. Amenities cost money, but it is the amenities that will make you have a great experience with a vehicle or not
Having owned several vans and from other auto makers including Honda exl this is at the top of the class. This vehicle is very responsive and yet accommodating.Pros: how comtorbale it is
Cons: none
Advice: great car
we loved itPros: the ride
Cons: reliability
Advice: research first!
Have an 04 XLE AWd. Has a great ride. Very responsive. But at 67000 miles the AC stopped and Iwas told that the compressor 'froze' and had to be replaced together with the condenser. Cost -$4100. This has apparently been an issue with other owners. This is way too early for a compressor to go bad and I strongly feel signifies a defective part of the vehicle.Pros: comfort
Cons: Hard to see out the side and back windows when driving. Several blind spots
Advice: Get what you want as they are very expensive
Hello Toyota Sienna owners. I purchased my Sienna new in 11-2004. We do a lot of traveling. We have almost 50 thousand miles on it. We had to buy new tires around 26,000 as the rear end was out of line and there is no rear end adjustment that can be done on the Sienna LXE. We had to take it back to the dealer and have them to bend the frame back in line and had to pay for it.The tires were ate up because of the rear end being out of line. Also, During an oil change last week, we noticed brass shavings in the oil we were taking out. Does anyone know what the brass shavings can be from and what damage it can do to the motor? Also, has anyone had any problem with the rear end alignment?Pros: Seat comfort. Lumbar support
Cons: 3rd row seating a nightmare to get in and out of.
Advice: Buy the power door models. Very difficult to get in on slopped driveway or hill.
I bought the Sienna CE back in 2002. No major problems until 2006. Tire inflation light kept coming on for nearly a year, even after replacing tires. Even the dealer couldn't figure it out for the longest time. It turns out that the rear brake drums were faulty and this was not a rare occurance. A safety bullitin had been issued years ago, yet no recall. It cost me over $700 for this repair. Car still rides good. No other big problems at 64k miles. Wanted Honda Odyssey, yet Honda dealers were out of stock for months.Pros: the side windows
Cons: n/a
Advice: do it
FOR A VAN IT HAS GET UP AND GO BUT I DROVE A 2003 TOYOTA MARTIX XRS AND GOD I LOVE IT BUT I LOVE THE VAN TO ITS NICE LOT OF ROOM AND NICE RIDE GO FUEL # WITH THE PRICE OF GAS YOU NEED THATPros: we like the pwr sliding door option that came with the package
Cons: no std pwr trunk and not many choices on colors.
Advice: try cars direct.com as we bought it thru them and they gave a great deal at invoice
Rides excellent for a van. was surprised at the reasonable cost for the features it has. Over the years I was more of a Honda person because toyota interiors to me looks cheap but they have really changed that. we have the le model and its loaded with tons of features. Reason why we ended up with Toyota is that we like the pwr sliding door and 8 passenger seating which Honda does not have on the LX. The EX cost alot more than the Toyota LE.
