Getting firsthand information from an actual car owner is one sure way to get an idea of car performance once it leaves the lot. Autobytel features real consumer reviews that give the unbiased experience of a car.
I purchased a Model S P85D in June 2015 and have just over 10,000 miles on the car. If you want performance this is the car for you! Zero to 60mph in 3.2 second. 671 hp. Instant full torque when stepping on the accelerator. The drive battery weighs 1200 lbs and is basically the entire floor so center of gravity is very low. It corners like it is on rails. I also own a Lexus LS460 and the Tesla is not up to the quality of the interior or to the plush ride of the Lexus. Charging is no problem.
Tesla Roadster is Outstanding!
Cons: No room for luggage. For the sports car enthusiast who wants to get optimum performance, an electric Tesla Roadster is clearly the answer. Zero - 60 mph in under 4 seconds, and less than 2 cents/mi to drive. It holds the road on corners and looks really cool as you pass gas stations. Just plug it in at night and it is ready in a few hours to go again. I love my Tesla!
