Pros: INSTRAMENTATION
Cons: NOTHING
Advice: BUY IT IT IS HOT
THE VIBE WAS VERY ROOMY, TIGHT HANDLING, AND COMFORTABLE. I THOUGHT IT WAS VERY ATTRACTIVE LOOKING. THE HOTTEST THING HOWEVER I THOUGHT WAS THE INSTRUMENTATION THE DEEP RED BACKLIT GAUGES WHERE JUST GORGEOUS. THE ROOMINESS IN THE REAR WAS JUST AMAZING. I THOUGHT THIS VEHICLE OVERALL IS A HUGE HIT!Pros: It rides comfortably when it is not on a tow truck.
Cons: It is mechanically unreliable with seemingly poor quality parts.
Advice: Don't purchase this car. It is much more trouble than it is worth.
This vehicle rides quite well, when it runs. We have two Grand Ams in the family and both have left us stranded on multiple occassions. It seems to be plagued with battery and electrical problems and in general uses poor quality parts (we have had to replace a gasket within the engine, a belt, the alternator, front brakes, the body control chip module, the cassette deck and the coolant cap. I have already had multiple repairs totalling several thousand dollars worth of work on my 2 1/2 year old Grand Am and had to have it towed back to the dealership again today. It was there only 28 days ago for the same problem. If you want reliability, this car is definately not the one to buy. I am a proud American and I support my country as I can, but I am also a hard working consumer who expects some quality and dependability in exchage for my hard earned dollars. Pontiac failed drastically. You and your family deserve better. Don't get stranded. Don't buy a pontiac.Pros: VERSATILITY ... VERY CONVIENIENT... ELECTRIC SIDE DOOR
Cons: Hard to say ... maybe the armrest could have more cushion.
Advice: I would highly recommend the MONTANA
I've owned a Pontiac Montana for 3 years .. it had to be repaired one time for a minor repair .. a small foreign made motor on the rear window had to be replaced ... it was repaired when I took it in for a routine oil change in less than a hour.... that's it. It's as reliable and comfortable as any Minivan on the road .. I would highly recommend the MONTANA ... I owned a Voyager for 9 years ... which was a good van also .. but the Montana is a step above ... it does most things better .. it rides quieter ... smoother and the Electric side door is fantastic ... it saves a lot of grief when loading and unloading .. especially in bad weather ... this van gets a 'work out' and takes it all in stride .. the gas miliage is better also .. the 185HP engine has 'guts' and is well suited. 4x8 sheets of material fit easily... you can close all doors and not even have to take seats out ... just fold the back seats down and the material rests on top of the back of the seat.... I just bought a Rendezvous that has the same drivetrain as our MONTANA ... I think it is the best going ... I've heard nothing but good about it... from mechanics ..and owners.Pros: Spoke wheels and racing rails
Cons: There is no light indicator for the cruise control
Advice: If you are looking for a sporty car with great handling buy this one!
We purchased the Grand Prix GT Special Edition and we like the way it accelerates and corners like its on rails! It is really an easy and fun to drive vehicle. It has dual pipes on both sides and roars wonderfully. Gives the feeling that you're driving an Indy car. There are only 5000 of these vehicles (Special Edition) made for 2001 and we feel especially happy that we are the owners of one of them. It is a great car for the money, looks and handling.Pros: Monsoon Stereo System
Cons: Cup holders are well located, but feel a little weak.
Advice: GMAC has some terrific lease programs. Don't be afraid to lease instead of buying.
I decided I wanted a change from my 1995 GMC Sierra 4x4, and went in search of something sportier. The aggressive styling and classic lines of the 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix GT caught my eye right away, and the test drive was nothing short of exhilirating. Six cylinders of pure power set me back into my seat as we zoomed down the entrance ramp to the highway. Steering was responsive without being sloppy, and the handling was as smooth as it was impressive. Dual climate controls make the ride that much more comfortable for both the driver and the passenger, and the Monsoon stereo system fills the cabin with top quality sound. The sleek GT styling draws attention wherever it goes, and the position and design of the power moonroof provides a nice air flow without mussing a single hair. This car has all the attitude of it's cousin, the Firebird, without the rough sportscar ride and without drawing too much attention from the folks with the radar guns. There's plenty of room for passengers in the back, and the cavernous trunk will accomodate lots of luggage for that weekend road trip. A great value, this car is a must drive for anyone looking for a little excitment without sacrificing practicality.Pros: I love my sunroof!!
Cons: high truck deck,, have to lift cargo too high
Advice: test drive and if you like it,, buy, buy, buy
It handles wonderful, very responsive engine, great braking and smooth stops.. good visibility,, great sunroof and good trunk space which is even better once back seats or one is folded down,, if you can take advantage of this,. trunk deck is too high,, have to lift cargo too high to place in trunk,, a drawback,, great styling with performance and great family sedan or flashy for the single person,, love it and would buy one again,, great gas mileage,, Ed,,, SeaGrey@worldnet.att.att
