does everything asked of it
Pros: performance
Cons: lack of instrumentation
excellent allarounderOne of Australia's Best Performance Cars Ever
Pros: The motor . . . I 'hopped' it up and gained about a hundred horsepower
Cons: Handling isn't what it could be; the GTO tends to 'wallow' through turns.
I'm one of the lucky few Americans who got his hands on the Australian-built '05 GTO. It's got the 6.0 Corvette 400 Horsepower V8 and a 6-speed. It uniquely combines lots of power with a slick trans and great brakes with an excellent road ride. If I could have designed the '05 GTO, I would have taken a few choice suspension pieces from a Z06 and built the near-perfect car.Pros: ACCELERATION
Cons: SEAT BELTS RIDE TOO HIGH ACROSS NECK IS ONLY COMPLAINT
Advice: CAR INSURANCE NOT TOO EXPENSIVE BUT BRINGS LOTS OF $$$ FOR GAS
GREAT HIGHWAY PERFORMANCE - EXCELLENT RIDE AND CORNERING. ACCELERATION WITHOUT TRACTION CONTROL ON CAN BE SCARY. TEST DRIVE ONE AND YOU'LL BE HOOKED. INTERIOR MATERIALS ARE FIRST-RATE - INTERIOR SEAT GTO LOGO IS CLASSY BUT EXTERIOR BADGING IS REALLY HARD TO IDENTIFY CAR AS A GTO. ONLY MINOR COMPLAINT IS DRIVER SIDE SEAT BELTS RIDE UP HIGH ACROSS NECK MAKING FREQUENT ADJUSTMENTS NECESSARY. GREAT FUN CAR TO DRIVE - ALWAYS GET PEOPLE ASKING TO LOOK @ IT WHEN GASSING UP (OFTEN) BUT REALLY GETS 22-23 MPG HIGHWAY. NOT BUILT FOR IN-TOWN OR LOCAL DRIVING - BUILT FOR SPEED. REAR WHEEL DRIVE AND DEFINITELY NOT A SNOW/ICE DRIVING CAR.Pros: FM/AM Cd player & A/C
Cons: none
Advice: If you want a reliable car that is fun to drive, this is it.
My name is Ronald Smith & I own a 2004 Pontiac Grand Am that I bought in March of 2006. I have had NO problems with the car, & absolutely LOVE the way it handles & performs. One of my favorite features is the FANTASTIC FM/AM stereo CD player. I have kept track of my gas milage since I have owned the car, & I have run three tanks of fuel through it, with results of 17.7 MPG, on one tank, 17.5 MPG, on the second tank, & 19.5 on the third tank. The car handles very well on the road, & I would recommend it to anyone who is shopping for an excellent mid-size car.Pros: Corvette engine and power.
Cons: Interior a little tight
Advice: Buy it before you even think of any other performance car in this price range.
Have had my GTO for two months and can't stop thinking I almost purchased something else. Acceleration is awesome, handling is tight, sound of the engine gets all the looks and Mustang drivers look on with envy. Can't wait to take on a long road trip.Pros: volume controls on the steering wheel
Cons: small trunk space (thanks to 10 speakers!)
Advice: The price really adds up on fuel, but at the end of the day it's all worth it
It can be driven conservatively, with a smooth ride, or can be driven 'rough,' changing gears and in excessive speeds. It looks nice, inside and out... and my husband and I get compliments on it everywhere we go... it's a sharp looking vehicle!Pros: Easy to use
Cons: manual door locks from inside
Advice: Drive it
The perfect stealth car...more performance than anything else for the price. The Australians have built a real GTO. Easy on the highway (23-27mpg) and outrageous power when you need it. Slick six speed, predictable handling, awesome torque and brakes. A tightly built, muscular quietly good-looking car.
