    2006 Pontiac G6 - GT Convertible

    Pros: Retractable top

Cons: Very little trunk space, none with top down

Advice: Don't pay the dealer mark up, about 2-4K

Handles well, No noise when top is up. Power seats for driver side only. and no trunk space when top is retracted. Still would buy again

    2005 Pontiac G6 - Base

Pros: Information System Built In With The Radio In The Dashboard

Cons: This does not apply because I like everything about my Pontiac G6.

    Advice: Great economy car

The Pontiac G6 V6 is a smooth ride. Give it acceleration and it really surpises you on how fast it can go. The brakes are excellent, which is the reason why I have not been in an accident. This is a very low maintenance car and is a very easy upkeep. The black interior is the best due to no one can see the stains on it if there's any. The Pontiac G6 is also very spacious: a lot of leg room and the trunk is huge. The best part of the experience of owning this car is the reasonable price and not to mention it's good on gas mileage and even better for highway miles.

    2005 Pontiac G6 - Base

Pros: The look and feel of the car..(Absolutely Great!)

Cons: The cupholders are a little awkward but I can live with that.

Advice: if you are looking at the sedan drive the GT and the V6 as I did and thhe V6 with all the extra options is a better deal than the GT. My dealer had base GT sedan starting at 23,000 and the V6 I have has more options, V6 and was less expensive

I recently purchased a 2006 G6 V6 (Loaded) with all the extras. I have no complaints with the vehicle. The test drive was great and the car has a very smooth and powerful V6. I was amazed at how solid the car is and that it doesnt feel flimsy. My G6 is Black/Black with upgraded stock 17's and has the panoramic roof, this is an extra cool feature but it does cut head room down. With all the other extra features like the remote start, spoiler great stero with the in dash cd changer, I am very happy with the car and like all of the extra room that it has. I will recommend the G6 as a great alternative to those other cars out there.

    2006 Pontiac G6 - GT Sedan V6

Pros: Excellent handling and good acceleration

Cons: You can spin the wheels and 'lay a patch' if you don't watch your take offs from a standing start.

    Advice: Try one out

Pontiac G6 versus Audi A6? I bought a G6 GT after an A6. The dry road handling is hard to distinguish from the A6 2.8 quattro, but the A6 is better in the rain. The G6's 20 mpg is better than the A6 but the G6 accelerates a little faster. The Monsoon stereo compares well to the Audi Bose. The interior is simple and tasteful black plastic in both cars, and though the G6 is cheaper, it is less fragile. The G6 back seats are huge; perhaps a touch more roomy than the A6's ample ones. Fully adjustable sun roofs on both. The A6 five speed triptronic works much like the G6 four speed manumatic. Both are always in the right gear and both can be manually shifted. Similar exterior fit and finish levels, both excellent. Bottom line: The A6 is more refined, but the G6 is ninety percent of the car for under half the price. Still, the G6 had better build quality with zero problems in the first three months. No hardship to switch.

    2006 Pontiac G6 - GTP Coupe V6

Pros: The interior and exterior looks.

Cons: The gas milage is low compared to the 245 horse japanese engines.

Advice: Since this is still a completely new model, I bought the extended warranty.

I bought mine with 7000 miles on it. I love it. The performance is smooth and responsive throughout my speed range. The handling is outstanding. The ride is very firm without being stiff like a Honda's. I seem to have had better luck than most with my GM vehicles. I've put a total of 390,000 miles on my last two with 1 alternator being the only non-routine repair required.

    2006 Pontiac G6 - Base 6 Cyl. Sedan

    Pros: Exterior styling

Cons: High back end makes backing up difficult - can't tell how close you are to things behind you

Advice: If you are on a budget

Best car for the money. Great styling combined with updated Pontiac gauges and interior. High quality cloth seats - we wanted the leather, but after test driving the one we bought with the upgraded cloth interior, we were happy. Good power, but if it weren't my wife's car, I would have to step up to the GTP model. Overall, we are really happy with the G6. We got the GT wheels, sunroof, and Monsoon 6-disk stereo system (sounds great).

    2006 Pontiac G6 - GT Coupe V6

Pros: Love the seat warmers and the powerful engine.

Cons: Having a little difficulty with driverside visor -- won't stay in certain positions.

Advice: Definately take it for a test drive... that'll do it for you.

Love the performance and presence of this car. Looks great on the road and feels great behind the wheel. Even had a chance to do a little snow driving and it performed well. I have no regrets!!!
