Long Term Review - SC430
Pros: Bullet-proof reliability
Cons: Seating and performanceWanted a 'sports coupe with some luxury'. It delivered somewhat on the luxury, but 'sport' is nowhere to be found in the SC430. Floaty suspension, numb handling, terrible throttle response, and quite possibly the worst seats offered by a premium make. Rear seat should be removed - really only a package shelf. Anemic engine output for such a heavy car. Overall, a reliable but unfulfilling ride.
most reliable suv
Cons: Opening of the 5th door. Opens into the street, Made for England or JapanIn six years and almost 100 000 miles of toatal problem free driving.
Lives up to the Brand Reputation
Pros: extreme reliability
Cons: perfection can be a little boringAll expectations met, after 6 years of ownership.
Pros: quiet ride
Cons: gas milageexcellent cuv thats has room, comfort, towing flats boat or four golf clubs.
Outstanding quality, outstanding performance
Cons: NothingI have now had this car almost 4 years and it has been totally trouble free and an amazing performance luxury car. The fit and finish is surpassed by none. 0-60 in 5 seconds is great fun too.
God, What A Nice Car!
Pros: The smooth power.
Cons: The starter button that replaced the key starter.Every time i drive my Lexus ES350, it occurs to me to think to myself: 'God What A Nice Car'. The car handles so smoothly, the ride is super comfortable. We drive to our Son's home in Salt Lake from Glendale at least once a year. Since we bought the Lexus ES350, we do not mind driving all day straight through instead of stopping half way to spend the night, because the Lexus is so smooth and quiet.
My Fourth Lexus
Pros: Comfortable ride and the appearance.
Cons: Poor quality leather on seats.Like everything there is good and bad news about the latest generation of Lexus. I have owned 1992, 1996, 2004 and now the 2008 LS460. The good news is that the appearance has improved. My car is triple black with chrome lexus rims - looks great! The ride is comfortable, at 380HP the engine and the eight speed transmission are smooth and powerful, gas mileage decent 16/21. Some of the interior trim is incredibly cheap ( glove box ) door and the leather on my front drivers seat began to show wear at 20K miles ( lexus has offered to stain, not replace the leather ). Service remains good but expensive and the tires that came on the car - Bridgestone EL 42s' were subject to hydroplanning and wore out in 20,500 miles ! The best Lexus I have owned was the 2004 LS. Not that this is a bad car but I am used to excellent cars from Lexus and this one falls a bit short for $74K.
