I love this car!
Cons: Blind spots are bad!
Never had any problems. Feels heavy and well-built despite being a sports car. Sharp-looking. Get lots of compliments!Fun to drive !!!!
Pros: Sequencial tranny
Cons: the rear view
keep in mind : that's a coupe !!!! so for 2 passenger this car is faboulus ! Good handling, stiff direction, you can feel the road ! Fuel economy is very good, trouble free after 70,000 kms ! what a deal !not good for the long run
Pros: quick throttle response
Cons: repair bills over $2,000 for flywheel.
This car is fun to drive but didn't hold up well. After only 60,000 miles it has appreciable wear and many small noises and problems. The interior and the clutch/flywheel were both defective.Pros: Sunroof... or the rims... What about 2 features?
Cons: No factory turbo...
Advice: Buy one soon... They won't last!
I love my new Tiburon! It is black pearl, with black after market rims. The sunroof is great, and with the warranty, theres nothing that can beat the value!Pros: Smooth and powerful V6.
Cons: The ride on bad roads.
Advice: Don't pay more than 21,000 for the SE.
Fun! Fun! Fun! The torque, the handling, the looks and did I mention it's a blast to drive. Don't listen to me, go and test drive one. Do it now 'cause this is the last year for the Tib. The rear wheel drive Genisis Coupe is going to replace it and for who knows how much more money. The '07 and '08s are the same car with some small options (eg:bluetooth) I have 10K on this little hot rod never get tired of it.Pros: the airbags
Cons: wish it got better mileage
Advice: go for it!
This is a great car! My 84 year old mother-in-law bought it for the safety features and what a smart move. She was in an accident and hit another car going 40 miles per hour and she walked away without any broken bones or hurts. The front end of the car was virtually gone, her car was totaled. We are grateful she made such a wise purchase decision.Pros: General performance and handling; great for city or highway driving
Cons: No remote locking/unlocking for the rear hatch (we got over it)
Advice: Go for the V6 - a huge improvement over any 4-cylinder in terms of acceleration and handling.
After test-driving 6 cars, we bought the Tiburon SE with a 6-speed manual transmission (more readily available in automatic but we were both raised on manual and really love it). I read a review somewhere (Car & Driver?) comparing the SE's handling to the BMW 3M series; test drive it yourself and you'll be amazed. I'm 6' tall; driver headroom is as good as the Jetta that I traded in. Fewer blind spots, roomier rear seat, and better handling than the 2007 Mitsibishi Eclipse. Compared to the Tiburon SE, the Mitsubishi Lancer and Acura TSX felt like driving bathtubs. We considered the Lexus is250, but we decided we'd rather save $12,000 and get a car that handled better! We initially considered sportier Mazdas and Scions, but the warranties suck. We love this car!
