Had a 2000 XG so knew what to expect and wasn't dissappointed. The changes they made in the engine were just what the car needed.It is an absolute pleasure to drive in all conditions. -

Cons: Fuel computer doesn't show instantaneous mileage.
Advice: Ignore competitors' disparaging remarks; drive it and decide for yourself.
We tested comparable Hondas, Toyotas, and a few Detroit cars. None compared with the perceived value, warranty, and driving experience. Seats aren't as comfy as my truck, but are better than other foreign cars. It's not a sports car, but brings back the feeling of 'motoring' -- it's a stylish, comfortable, dignified platform for getting from A to B. Felt noticeably smoother and quieter than others tested. Other XG owners stop and talk -- reminds me of the MG cameraderie of the 50s. Now have 7K miles since 12/2001 with zero problems. -

I PURCHASED THIS CAR NEW IN 11/2001 I FIND THIS CAR TO BE AN EXCELLENT VALUE FOR THE MONEY. PERFORMANCE EXCESSED MY EXPECTATION. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS VEHICLE ANY WHO ASK. I GET IT A FOUR STAR RATING.
