This truck is amazing and hands down the best I found in all categories except one. When I first sat in the truck it really only took me a few minutes to decide that I wanted it. The handling was like a car yet it still had a tough truck feel to it. The seats where by far the best in comfort in its class. I looked at the Fords and they should really be embarrassed to put those seats in there trucks compared to these. The Dodge was also nice. But it was really all the features and the capabilities of the truck that sold me on it. The on star and the mirrors fold and when you put it in reverse they lower so that you can see the curb. But best of all you can set all of these options through the computer to how you want them to be all the way down to the timing for the automatic headlights. This is truly a great truck that gives you all that you need to get a hard job done but still be comfortable on those long road trips. So back to the one thing that I do not like about the truck. Unlike the Ford and Dodge the interior is somewhat plane. It does not really have that sporty feel that the others do with the two tone leather and chrome on the dash. But with that being said I still bought it because there really is no competition when it comes to the options and comfort. -

Advice: If you do a lot of towing get the diesel.It will pay for itself
I bought this truck with a pre conceived notion about American made trucks having owned a Toyota for 10 years with over 200 thousand miles I was a tough sell on quality.My wife and I have horses and I needed a tow vehicle and as nice as the Tundra is it ain't a tow vehicle.I pull a four horse trailer loaded at about 7,000#'s so I went with the Duramax diesel and this truck pulls that trailer like its not even back there and still gets 15 miles to the gallon!It gets 20 with no load and rides like a cadillac.I have not seen any quality issues so far and I could not be happier with this truck -

The GMC Sierra 2500 HD SLT, is one of the most incredible vehicles that I have ever tested. I have purchased mine, two months ago, and I am completely satisfied with every aspect of the vehicle. The most impressive feature of the truck, is its towing capacity. The vehicle can pull my 34ft trailer with next to no effort. I can hardly notice towing anything at all. It handles very good and it is an amazingly comfortable ride. Including the striking beauty of the vehicle, I give it 5 out of 5 stars. It is truly, amazing. -

Pros: 8.1L . Lot's of power and the 5 Speed Allison makes it smooth!
Cons: Why did they put 245/75/16s on this truck! Should start with 265's
Advice: Shop for best price!
8.1 with 5 Speed Allison: This truck was made for cruising at 80MPH+! Down side is the 12.5 MPG 'Best on the Hwy' 10 MPG around town. Haven't seen a hill yet that would make it down shift!
