Pros: smooth ride
Advice: get oneJust got a 4 door SE Focus. Great car--smooth ride, quiet engine, fun to drive, well-designed and quality interior. 6 disc player in dash, keyless entry, power locks windows, cruise...etc etc. good on gas too.
Pros: Roomy passenger compartment, not bad on fuel.
Cons: Poor power, small trunk, too many optional features that should be standard, no cassette or OnStar.
Advice: My suggestion is to go with the 2003 Cavalier LS sedan instead. This is one compact sedan I checked and drove before making a choice. It was not too bad on passenger room. And it was not bad on fuel economy. But it lacked enough power for me. It lacked enough trunk room. It was not available with a stereo with both cassette and CD. And too many of its features were optional. It includes 4-wheel ABS. It includes Advance Traction even with automatic versions. And it lacked one other handy feature I found available in the 2003 Cavalier LS sedan which comes in handy. It is OnStar. It has standard 4-wheel ABS. The automatics have standard Advance Traction. And it is available with a stereo system with both cassette and CD. It is as well as XM Satellite Radio. And with all the features being optional for the Focus, it cost more. Plus, I found the Cavalier LS to have enough power for me. And I got a better cash rebate on the Cavalier LS than Ford offers with the Focus. My sugestion is to forget this car and go with the 2003 Cavalier LS sedan.
Cons: Nothing really
Advice: Buy itI just bought a 2000 Ford Focus ZTS, with all the toys. I absolutely love it. I wish I had bought one a long time ago. My girlfriend bought one new in 2000, hers is the base model, but after having driven it to LA I decided this was the car for me with a little more in the way of refinements. I did a trip to San Diego the other day and I got 33 miles to the gallon...!!! Abslutely, FIRST CLASS car, it looks sharp, drives great, I WILL buy another. Stuart
Pros: DASH BOARD. NICELY LIT AND EASY TO FIND.
Cons: 2nd. GAS TANK SENSOR INSTALLED AND STILL NOT WORKING RIGHT
Advice: BUY IT. YOU'LL LOVE IT.COMPLETELY IN LOVE WITH IT
Pros: Great looking exterior and nicely layed out interior
Cons: Has a bit of a rough ride.
Advice: I would highly reccomend it for someone looking for a mid size car.I liked the responsiveness of the duratec engine and highly reccomend it over the vulcan. The SEL model was very well appointed, and affordable with the rebate offerings. Handling was quite responsive also. You get alot of bang for your buck in this car. I liked the traction control, it worked quite well in snowy conditions.
Pros: CD player
Advice: Buy it , it's worth itI just purchased this car about 4 days ago. The acceleration can approve a bit. They said break the car in first and that would approve. I got the new color for 2003 Light Tunda and it turns head. Everybody else have the black, red, and white, but this color really stands out form the rest.
Cons: Oil Filter location
Advice: Other than 'see above'--a terrific all around QUALITY BUILT CAR--that will simply do what you want it to!In my opinion, Taurus, is one of the most UNDERRATED cars on the market! E.G.--Most reviews, Consumer Reports, and numerous others, hardly mention Taurus--not to mention, that it's Ford's 'Official Race Car'--as in the Busch, and Winston Cup NASCAR series--AND--won the Manufacturers Cup in 2002! However, for 'normal customers'--like myself--owning the base Taurus LX...I bought the Taurus, after comparing it with 10 other models on the internet--and finally 'walking it down' to the Taurus. The attention to detail, and racing 'by-products' is evident everywhere in the car. It's simply one of the best values I've come across in the past 20 YEARS!
