    2003 Ford Focus - (100A) 2dr Hatchback

    Pros: 16' Alloy Wheels

Cons: I didn't ask for power door locks.

Advice: Drive teste it with an open mind.

Comming out from long series of old cars over ten years old. This car is GREAT! I never had any concerns about gas miliege or performance, because everybody know is a 4 cylinder. Yet I was very surprise for the smoothness and the power. The rebates work out great! They trow in the upgrade package for FREE! Automatic Trans, MP3 CD Player, Air Conditioning, tilt and telescopic steering wheel with nice sporty leather cover, Fog Lamps, and 16' alloy wheels with 205 Pirelli Tires, 2.3 litter engine. Plenty of room. Total price $15,283.00 zero down, inc. tx lic. and financing, Loved the whole package, design, power, economy. Do your homework and look for the best deal you can get, don't pay more than you need to.

    2004 Ford Taurus - SES (300A) Sedan

Pros: We both liked the firmly comfortable bucket seats

Cons: Hard to tell, small V6 a little noisy maybe.

Advice: Shop used, there are tons of these as program cars out there for 11-13k if you can live with the vulcan engine.

Drove this 2004 Taurus SES as a rental in New England for a week. We normally drive a 2000 LeSabre and were surprised to find we liked the firmer sportier handling of the SES better. Externally it is a sporty looking car--mine did not have the spoiler which I think makes good look better. Balanced handling, not a lot of lean on turns no nose dive on hard braking. Took the New England two lane twisty turney roads very well. Internally a very nice dash arangement, better than the old one. Fit and finish very good. Lots of rear seat room and leg room. We liked the firm bucket seats better than the soft ones on our Buick. Engine power was adequate, average off the line, a bit noisy up to speed but settled in quietly once there. I think I would go for the Duratec 24V DOHC engine for a little more grunt and maybe a little quieter engine. Brakes were good. Radio okay--did not have a CD so could not check that. Very large trunk with a useable layout. Mileage in the low 20's which is good for 200 miles of mostly stop and go driving. Nice car I am considering replacing my 2nd car with a used one--hopefully with the duratec engine.

    2003 Ford Focus - 2dr SVT Hatchback

    Pros: superb brakes

Cons: too many standard power options

Advice: Looking at a performance hatchback? Drive the SVT Focus!

I was impressed with the overall mechanics of the SVT Focus: Getrag 6 speed transmission, DOHC, variable valve and cam timing, 4-to-2-to-1 headers, Cosworth engineering, INCREDIBLE brakes, and compliant but firm suspension. I considered other vehicles (Cooper, Civic Si, V-Spec) but was left wanting more for my $$. The SVT was thousands cheaper and I have a factory-backed 100,000 mile warranty to boot.

    2003 Ford Focus - ZTS (500A) Sedan

Pros: The handling of the vehicle is fantastic

Cons: Wish there were better selection of colors

    Advice: Fantastic vehicle for commuting

Focus SE has good acceleration to get on and off the freeway. Transmission shifting is very smooth. The handling of the vehicle is exceptional due to the 4 wheel independant suspension. Instrument controls are well placed. Seats are very comfortable and 6 way adjustable. Visibility is excellant. Great vehicle for the money.....

    2004 Ford Focus - LX (300A) Sedan

    Pros: bright head lights.

    Cons: transmission/axle

Advice: don't buy an lx model. don't buy from NeillSandler Ford

I have had the focus 3 weeks and it has been in the shop for 2 weeks, it just went back in tonight. The first time was because of an axle breaking which caused problems in the transmission. The transmission had to be replaced. Now the transmission is stuck in a forward gear. It has 1024 miles on it.

2003 Ford Taurus - SES Deluxe (310A) Sedan

    Pros: 24 Valve V6

Cons: No Fog Lights/. No In-Dash 6 CD Changer

Advice: Go for the 24V V6 Sport Package

I love this vehicle!! I bought the Patriot Blue SES with the Sport Package. I drive 45 miles to work everyday, and I like the smooth ride. It has awesome power when passing. If you are looking for a midsize sedan with excellent comfort a powerful 24v V6 and a good looking car, you can't go wrong with the Taurus.
