    2004 Ford Freestar - SE Standard (120B)

    Pros: the ride

Cons: 2nd row seats are a bit out of place, I would advise captains' chairs.

Advice: Test drive it and see for yourself

This is our family's fifth minivan and is by far the most quiet of any GM, Dodge, or Ford minivan that we have had. It is very responsive in all manuevers and is very smooth otherwise. Having had a windstar before, I was very pleasantly surprised at the overall experience of this van,and the rebates and discounts made it very attractive.

    2003 Ford Windstar - SE Standard (210B)

Pros: Actually there are several but most standing in mind is the moving break & accelerator pedals

    Cons: nothing

Advice: if you have a family

This vehicle handels the road as smooth as a feather. You definetely have to watch the speedometer. If not, then you can be going 80MIs and feel like your going 40MI. Excellent vehicle for my needs.

    2003 Ford Windstar - SE Standard (210B)

Pros: entertainment center and plenty of space for things

Cons: I find driver's seat a little uncomfortable

Advice: Good van given the creature features included

Very powerful .. nice ride and great on the highway with all that power. We had air conditioner troubles right when we bought it (98 degrees outside of course). Turned out to be loose wire harnass (after two trips) and it was fixed fine. A little noisy, but not overbearing.

    2002 Ford Windstar - LX Base (110A)

    Pros: none

Cons: the way it breaks down at 38,000 even after you service it accordinly

Advice: You must buy the extended warranty since they break immediatly after36,000 mi

This car is made with very poor quality materials in and out. Things like the cheap ring to hold a drink have snapped off and to be replaced, you must purchase the whole ashtray unit. The transmission just went at 38,000mi and the customer service 800 number only helped reduce the price instead of fix the faulty car. This was our 5th Ford and I am afraid our last. Now I know why there are so many Toyotas on the road.

    2002 Ford Windstar - SE Standard (210A)

    Pros: Abundant safety features

Cons: Rear seat is heavy if you want to remove it.

Advice: If you love your family and yourself, buy this for all of you !!!!!!

It is really comfortable, very quiet and smooth. Freeway driving is a joy. The seats are great and it feels solid and safe on the road. With the 5 star crash rating, side airbags, adjustable pedals, lights on the mirrors to warn othes when doors open and and and.....yhe list of safety features goes on and on.

    2002 Ford Windstar - LX Base (110A)

Pros: Interior seating layout -- front buckets, 2 seat bench, 3 seat bench.

Cons: The side armrests on the driver seat.

Advice: Check out the amount of luggage storage you need. In my model the rear seat can be moved to the middle position to create a larger cargo area. Salesman didn't know about that.

After 1,000 miles I like everything about this minivan. Very quiet ride, handles easily, the kids love it, and the controls are all well thought out. I never had a car with a keyless entry before but it is a real convenience too. It has great headroom (I'm 6'-5') but it also fits my 5'-3' wife. So far it is averaging 20 mpg with a combination of short commute city driving and highway miles. With my past vehicles I have had much better luck with Ford than Honda in terms of quality, maintenance, and cost. This is what steered me to the Windstar.
