    2002 Ford Windstar - SE Standard (210A)

Pros: The buckling and unbuckling of the safety belt..so easy..no pressure needed.

Cons: The ignition is very hard to turn.

Advice: If you havr arthritis of the hands, all the power items benefit you. It is easy to get in and out of also.

I purchased a used 2002 Ford Windstar SE and am happy with it. I have Rheaumatoid Arthritis and all power features satisfy me. Especially the door handles on the inside and out..easy to grasp. The ignition is hard to turn and have rigged up a way to use the key. Once you have a disability you have to look at priorities differently. I have looked at 10 different vans in 2.5 days. None of them having all power features I need. This one did. The ride is smooth and quiet.

2004 Ford Freestar - SES Sport Appearance Plus (130B)

    Pros: DVD

Cons: constant vehicle failures while it is still 'new'

Advice: Do your research and shop around other car dealerships

We have purchased the minivan on August of 2005. Ever since our purchase, the factory built in DVD player stopped working, the front brake pads were squeeking and after it has been changed to 'top of the line pads' the squeeking is gone but brakes are still not fulfilling its duty , and now transmission failure! Wow, what a 'great' vehicle.

2004 Ford Freestar - SES Sport Appearance Plus (130B)

    Pros: Roomy interior

    Cons: performance (brakes, acceleration, control)

Advice: Buy a Dodge Grand Caravan.

The braking is the worst I have ever seen in my life. the steering wheel won't stay straight and it gets tiring really quick. We hit the back of a Dodge truck and had to get a new bumper. We were only going 5 MPH and it ruined it. The owner of the truck was nice enough to let us go because the truck had 1 little scratch on the bottom of it's bumper. We bought it because we needed a van at the time and it was the cheapest one we could find. We regret this mistake!!! We eventually sold it and got a Grand Caravan. It's the best car we have ever owned.

    2004 Ford Freestar - SE Standard (120B)

    Pros: The power liftgate

Cons: No Navigation, and windows dont go down in middle rows

Advice: Look at more better minivans like the Toyota Sienne

I really like my ford freestar limited with the turn signals in the mirrors and the power liftagte and leather seating. I also love the heated seats and 3 zone air conditioning, its awsome. I like the 6 disk cd changer and the dvd system my kids love it. I also love the 18 inc tires and power sliding doors.

    2004 Ford Freestar - SE Standard (120B)

    Pros: Lots of room

    Cons: Poor construction

    Advice: DON'T

I leased the Ford Freestar in MArch of 2004. I'm glad I leased as I will take great pleasure in returning this piece of junk. In the 18 months I have owned this vehicle: 1) the heating fan broke 2) the gas pedal FELL OFF in 65 mile an our traffic causing me almost to be killed by a semi as I could not control the speed of my car because there was no pedal!! 3) The mechanism that controls the side mirrors broke - so back to the dealer again!! 4) the van is NOISY! When the windows are open you can't hear yourself think. 5)A high pitched whistle has developed in the front end of the van that will make you nuts.Dealer can hear it but can't pinpoint the source. 6) no less than 5 pieces of the van have fallen off and had to be fixed, including the brake pedal top, the back top rear selt belt holder, the inside trim on the passenger door, etc. 7) the 'safety doors sensors' that are supposed to keep the sliding doors from shutting on little fingers don't work I have written 2 letters to Ford (both unanswered or even acknowleged) and complaints to my dealer go unheeded as they are 'assembly issues' My dream car has turned into a nightmare. I love the roominess of this vehicle and the third seat is very easy to put down or up. But the van as a whole is a poorly constructed piece of junk.

    2005 Ford Freestar - S (110A)

Pros: 3rd row seats that folded away. Quite and comfortable ride.

    Cons: No AWD.

Advice: Great value for the money.

Surprisingly a well built and quite minivan. Prior vehicle was a BMW and Subaru, and was impressed with this American Vehicle. A very comfortable ride, and great value for the money when compared to the foreign made minivans. (Rebates helped tremendously with the lower price.)

2005 Ford Freestar - Signature Limited

Pros: Fold down rear seats that way you can not see them

Cons: Front steering not in straight line and old looking seats

Advice: Let go of the wheel to see how straight it is, if not get out and shut the door

The vehicle looks and preforms like a second hand van. Front seats look like they are 5 years old worn and torn. The steering is a nightmare, the wheel will not keep in a straight line for 5 seconds, it veers all way to right one line than two than three, than off the mountain you go, good bye. The front end is off by 1/2 inch, in difference to the drivers side. Have owned 5 ford vehicle, never have I had one that I could not let go of the wheel to see if it is line ,if it did't go straight I brought it to a front end shop to be fixed... To bad I signed papers before it was fixed what a mistake..
