    2008 Ford F-250

    F250 SD Alert

    Pros: appearance

    Cons: Fuel pumps, transmission

High pressure fuel pump has just been changed for the second time at a cost of $3800.00. Truck had 106,600 miles when the second pump failed, so we have averaged 50,000 miles for each one. Transmission continues to jerk between 2nd and 3rd gear occastionally and it has been reprogrammed only 3 times. When you release the brake pedal after coming to a dead stop, the trcuk jerks. I drive the truck like it's a baby so the issues are not from abuse.

2004 Ford F-250 - XLT 4x4 SD Super Cab Long Box

    Pros: Powerful and looks great.

    Cons: Gas mileage

    Advice: Don't buy a Chevy!!!

I have owned this truck for almost 4 years. This is a great truck. I would buy another ford f250 without hesitation.

    2008 Ford F-250 - XL 4x4 SD Regular Cab

    Pros: The looks

    Cons: Fuel economy

Advice: Don't buy unless you have lots of money for gas and like getting stuck.

I recently purchased a 2008 F250 Super Duty for work. I made a mistake!! This truck only gets about 10 to 11 mile per gallon. It has the 5.4 triton and it seriously lags in power. I pulled off the road the other day and I had to put it in 4 wheel drive to get out. I was slipping on some wet grass. It looks really sharp but the performance is terrible. I would never recommend this truck to anyone. Last year I purchased a Chevy Silverado 4x4 with a 5.3 for my personal use. I get about 19 mpg with it. It is much better in mud and snow compared to the Ford Super Duty. The Chevy has twice the power than the Ford does. The headlights on the Chevy are much brighter as well.

2007 Ford F-250 - Lariat 4x4 SD Crew Cab Long Box

    Pros: the ride

    Cons: none

Advice: just buy it and enjoy

Just bought this 2007 Diesel F250 4x4 lariat w/ offroad package. Rides like a cadillac. Excellent driving characteristics. Love it! Traded a 2005 GMC Sierra with lift kit and bullbar and much more. No comparison. Ford Rules. Spend the money and buy this over any other pickup. Accept no imitations! I fell for the Chevy/GMC allure for about a year or so. I had to come back to the big fords. Apparently chevy and gmc pickups are japanese wanna-be pickups. Only Ford rises above all competitors. Don't make the mistake I did. Buy Ford, it's F250's rule the roads.

2006 Ford F-250 - XLT 4x2 SD Crew Cab Long Box

Pros: Very roomy cabin, comfortable ride on longer distances

Cons: Some useful options are only available with full, expensive packages

Advice: Get the diesel engine and tow command

The new F250 Super Duty with Crew Cab is one of the roomiest trucks I have driven so far. Both the front and the back offers plenty of room and legroom. My truck came with the 60/40 split bench in the back, which can be folded back. Underneath an extendable steel floor for dirty hauls in the back of the cabin. I bought the F250 with the optional diesel engine and automatic transmission. While adding a whopping $6K to the cost, I highly recommend the diesel engine to evrybody. The engine has been rrdesigned for better fuel economy and the torque cannot be beat. I also opted for the tow command, which makes hauling huge trailers with up to 12.5K lbs much safer. Face it, many employees lack the driving skills, and tow command can make up for some lack thereof. Overall, a well built vehicle with plenty of comfort for a workhorse truck, and lots of payload for when you need it.

2004 Ford F-250 - Lariat 4x4 SD Crew Cab Long Box

Pros: PowerStroke!! Also, the power sliding rear window...how cool is that?

Cons: Steering radius, and those really short arm rests on the bucket seats...I mean there's just enough room for your elbows!

Advice: Go for PowerStroke! You DEFINATELY won't be dissapointed!

I have owned my Harley Davidson F-250 for a little over a year now, and I don't believe I'll ever buy anything but a Powerstroke Diesel again! I also installed the Banks 6-gun system with SpeedLoader...gave it an extra 115hp!! It's acceleration is almost sports car-like, with the ride of anything BUT a large pickup! The only thing I find to be the slightest bit of a problem is the steering radius...but they fixed that on the 05 models with coil front suspension! Ford just keeps outdoing themselves with the Super Duty trucks - can't wait to see what they come up with next!

2005 Ford F-250 - XLT 4x4 SD Super Cab Short Box

    Pros: Powerstroke V-8 Turbo Diesel.

Cons: Everything is an option unless you buy a Lariat.

Advice: If you plan on towing anything

I own a 79 F-350 and a 78 Supercab F-250 and I`m a Ford die-hard. I just bought a 2005 Superduty XLT Supercab with the automatic, Powerstroke 6.0, 4x4. WOW. Takes off like a rocket. Excellent fuel mileage pulling my 22` closed trailer. Rides like a Cadillac. Stupendous job Ford. What a masterpiece. Keep up the good work.
