2003 Chrysler Town and Country - Limited AWD

    Pros: Stereo System

Cons: Front pax seat CANNOT be moved up or down.

Advice: Compare to other vans. . .this car has been downgraded.

Your editor completely missed the boat on the T&C limited for 2003. . .a little real research would have helped. The suspension and stearing has been changed resulting in a noticeably harsher ride, car now comes with a lower grade tire, antenna not painted, mirrors no longer painted to match main color, passenger mirror no longer memory, rugs no longer plush, door post air outlets removed, single option aft seat now, front passenger seat CANNOT be moved up or down. . . and more if a person cares to LOOK. I can just imagine the things that were changed that we cannot see?????? I will not buy another T&C van. Phil Shadle//Solebury, PA.

2003 Chrysler Town and Country - LXi FWD

Pros: Overall look of the vehicle.

    Cons: Quality very poor.

Advice: Lease one for the warranty period and get rid of it or get an Odyssey and be happy long term.

I was a two tome Chrysler Town and Country LXI owner. Loved the vehicles I had owned but due to a major problems I encountered with the 1998 I had (multiple a/c failures, bearing going out, cruise ctrl going out) I had within 50k mlies of ownership I elected not to purchase another one. Great to look at but not dependable at all. Final straw was made after contacting Chrysler Corporate and being told to take a hike on the issues. What a company policy huh? No thanks! As a result just purchased an Honda Odyssey and love it.

    2002 Chrysler Voyager - Base

Pros: Sliding middle doors on both sides.

Cons: No CD player on radio, only tape player.

Advice: Large family would want extended van.

The ride is smooth and quiet. Steering handles very well and the V6 has good get up and go. Have taken two long trips and the comfort level was great. Not real pleased with gas mileage, 19-20 mpg highway, 15-16 in town. All our children are grown and gone so the short version is just right for the wife and myself. Do like the 7-year warranty and expect to keep this vehicle for several years.

2003 Chrysler Town and Country - LX FWD

Pros: Larger size, and standard equipment. PRICE

Cons: shifter blocks volume control on the radio

Advice: Do research on-line and find a dealer that will give you an invoice deal. get the rear heat/AC

Nice pick-up, even on the 3.3L version. Pleanty of room for the kids and groceries. I did not pursue a lot of the options, many common options are standard even on the LX model (keyless entry, power windows & locks, and AC). Only thing I would change about the purchase is I would have got the rear heat/AC.

2003 Chrysler Town and Country - Limited FWD

Pros: My wife thinks power doors are great, I like the safety features and ease of access. The sunroof is huge!

Cons: the buying experience. The shift column blocks some radio controls. The back seats dont move forward or back, and the passenger power seat doesn't lower, it makes the ceiling seem low for 6 footer

Advice: Use the advice and worksheets on www.carbuyingtips.com. and get price quotes before you walk in. I also used Chryslers website to find the exact car I wanted.

We are expecting our 3rd child, so we began to look in the minivan market. I had had problems with a previous car and had been givent a T&C as a loaner. My wife fell in love with it. we looked at all models but Chevy and Ford Our test drive in a limited was wonderful. Our buying experience was not. After talking with the dealer with the vehicle we test drove, the heavy sales guns came out, and the price went up to over 40,000. I walked out and searched the web. www.carbuyingtips.com helped me use web services to find invoice prices and get quotes. With all of the information in hand, I was able to get a great deal on a Limited FWD with sunroof and DVD player. I bought the extended warranty and felt comfortable with the process. Use the website and get quotes. It gives you some power when you go to the dealer. I cant rate everything as a 100 with only a few thousand miles on the vehicle, but my wife made a trip to Florida in it and felt safe and secure.

2003 Chrysler Town and Country - Limited FWD

    Pros: luxurious appointments

    Cons: 200 inches in length

    Advice: none

Felt very comfortable with easy access-did not need a step. Loading the cargo area was easy-not too high off the ground.
