2005 Chrysler Pacifica - Touring FWD

    Pros: Comfort

    Cons: Limited visibility. Gas milage.

Advice: Extremely dangerous to drive and makes oil tycoons even richer!!

I am currently renting the Pacifica. It has extremely poor gas milage. While the Pacifica is very comfortable and handles very well, it has MANY blind spots. One can barely see out of the vehicle when changing lanes or driving in reverse. The windows are smaller than the average sedan, so you can imagine the limited visibilty! VERY DANGEROUS! Even checking the mirrors and turning my head to look beside me or behind me, when I change lanes I have to do so with extreme caution. I still get honked at from cars that in the blind spots. I would NEVER purchase this vehicle!! DANGEROUS TO DRIVE!!!!!

2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser - GT

Pros: Looks and ROOM (especially back seat)

    Cons: Nothing so far

Advice: If you plan to use the rear seat at all, sit in the PT's. You will be impressed

We want to buy a 'cute', affordable convertible within the next year or so. We pretty much thought it would be a VW New Beetle. But we were invited to a drive comparison by Chrysler. We drove a PT GT automatic, and a base automatic VW. Although to be fair we need to drive a turbo VW, but the difference in comfort and room was amazing. We now are leaning heavily towards a PT GT 5-speed.

2005 Chrysler Town and Country - Touring Long Wheelbase Passenger

Pros: the Sto and Go storage

Cons: the quality overall, the cloth seats

Advice: Be careful, make sure you have a good warranty

We first drove the T&C as a rental and loved the storage capacity but the cloth seats are very uncomfortable - to narrowly molded. Leather seats are much better. We ended up buying one. WE have had it less than a month and had a blow out the first day and found the spare tire is a bit of a challange to get to, but worst is that the style of tire is so new most Brigestone/Firestone dealers don't have it yet. It is also expensive but the only tire you can use on it. A selenoid in the transmission is bad and on national backorder for unknown time. There is also some problem with the universal joint because there is a 'pop' every time you turn right and it is now starting to do it turning either direction. When you buy a new car, you do not expect to spend this much time in the shop!

2005 Chrysler Pacifica - Touring FWD

    Pros: Comfort

    Cons: Gas mileage

Advice: Think twice before shelling out for the gas you will need for this car

I rented a 2005 Pacifica Touring last weekend and the gas mileage was absolutely horrible. I liked the car for its comfort, but would never purchase one. I got around 18-19 mpg on the highway and I'm sure it is significantly less in the city. Expect very high gas cost with this car.

2002 Chrysler Town and Country - LX AWD

    Pros: Styling and ride (comfort).

Cons: 3.3 Liter engine slightly underpowered

Advice: Get the 3.8 Liter and AWD

Very smooth ride. Handles exceptionaly well. Dashboard controls are layed out fairly well. Impressed that the 2nd and 3rd row bench seats recline. Almost opted for 2nd row buckets, but reconsidered once I noted the ability of the benchseats to recline. Also, found that it's easier to access the 3rd row seat (with 2nd row bench seat configuration vs 2nd row buckets. Buckets leave little room to access the rear of the van, short of folding one of the buckets fully forward, a rather cumbersome task). Only negative so far - Vehicle has slight hesitation under normal acceleration around 2000 rpm. Feels as if it's 'holding back' or being pushed back by wind (although no excessive wind is present). Overall, a good minivan and good value.

2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser - Base

    Pros: One button and top

Cons: The manual shifter is not as smooth as I'm used to.

Advice: If you don't need neck breaking speed

I wanted something fun, tired of the same old thing. I did not want to spend a lot of money! As soon as I seen that I could get a base PT Cruiser convertable for only $19995 I was sprung. the only options I really suggest are floor mats, cruise control, and the sirius sat radio. Other than that the Base has plenty of acceleration to get you down the road and out on the highway without any problems. I love this car, but I wish I knew they were changing the front end of the PT for '06 I might could have waited for that. Besides that I love this car and I have had more heads turn and people wanting to look at my car than ever before.

2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser - GT

    Pros: How the car looks

    Cons: Turning radius

Advice: Buy the GT with the turbo, it's fast.

Put the top down and enjoy. What a fun car. Fast, handles well. A little heavy on the gas bill, but worth ever dollar. Turning radius could use some help. When the roof is up, your rear view shrinks considerably. Over all, I'm glad I bought it, I'm having a ball.
