    2009 Chevrolet Traverse

    It does everything I want

Pros: 7 way power seat / rear view video camera

Cons: dash power outlet located inline with the console cup holder.

We ahve owned this vehicle for 4 months now and driven 5000 miles. It is the Jewel red LT2 with leather power seats, captains chairs amd tow package. The ride is amazing and allowed my wife who has severe back problems to ride in this vehicle over 1000 miles in 13 hours from Milwaukee Wi to Gulf Shores AL. At the end of the trip I unloaded the vehicle because I was even tired from the drive. I love the way the vehicle can be configured fo maximum hauling or seating 7. I've had the opportunity to load the back and it take a huge amount of cargo. I have pulled 4000 lbs and it tows wonderfully and the tow package makes it a no brainer. Rear view camera allows you to back right up to the hitch the first time. Mileage is great with my average of 19 suburban driving and 22 expressway driving cross country.

    2009 Chevrolet Traverse

    Love my Traverse

Pros: Folding rear seats for cargo since I do not have a pickup.

    Cons: Lack of Power

It has almost as much room as my Suburban had but the seats fold down easily and gas mileage is much better.

    2009 Chevrolet Traverse

    Happy with Traverse

    Pros: Roominess

    Cons: not getting stated MPG

I recently purchased a 2009 Chevy Traverse and love the roominess. My husband who was not with me when I purchased it said he thought the car was deceiving because from the outside it did not look big, however when he got in it he was amazed at the room. It is a very comfortable ride. The only down side is I don't think I'm getting the MPG that is stated on sticker(17 city/24 Hwy). I drive mostly highway and I'm only getting about 18 mpg today. I'm not heavy footed and normally use cruise control. Hope to see it improve over time.

2010 Chevrolet Traverse - LTZ FWD

    Pros: Styling

    Cons: oil filer location

Advice: It is a solid Crossover with good acceleration on the LTZ model & has a good amount of cargo space

I traded in a 2007 Silverado LTZ Vortec Max on this New 2010 Traverse LTZ 10-30-09 & have been very pleased with my decision. MPG's was the main reason I opted for a smaller vehicle but I did not want to give up what I had become accustomed to such as the Big sound of the Bose audio system, Onstar, Leather seats, Climate control front & rear, Sun Roof, Remote Start, etc. I got all of those things in the Traverse LTZ with a pretty nifty RearView Camera whenever I put it in reverse. In addition, I don't have to unlock & lift up a Tonneau Cover anymore to carry large things because the Traverse has a lot of cargo area when I fold down the 3rd seats & 2nd row Captain's seats. Initially I was going to get the Dark Cherry colored Traverse but my 'excellent' salesperson' Dina at Tom Bell Chevrolet in Redlands, Cali said she liked the Black Granite more. She was right! My Traverse has quick acceleration for a medium sized Crossover & hardly noticable outside noise. Stepping down in size from a 4x4 Silverado 5ft bed is a rather pleasant change for me in the Traverse. Also, I almost forgot to mention the Rear Lift can be activated by the Remote or from inside the Traverse. The strangest things I have experienced is the fact that the battery is not located under the hood..it is located behind the passenger seat in the floor. In addition, I pulled up to fill it up for the first time since I bought it. I went inside & paid for gas. When I came back out & looked for a lever or little push down down by the driver seat or the lower driver side dash I couldn't find one. It was friday evening & people were driving up to fill up so I went back inside & asked for my money back & drove home. I called Onstar & the tech lady said push in on the gas cover door & it will pop open. Boy did I feel dumb. All in all I would recommend the 2010 Traverse LTZ as a VERY good alternative to a big SUV that doesn't skimp on amenities, acceleration, or Cargo space. This was the first time I really felt good about a New Automobile & the salesperson. Dina is a terrific salesman because she is honest, straightfoward, & knowledgable. She searched & searched until she found what I wanted at the price I could afford

2009 Chevrolet Traverse - LS FWD

Pros: The ride and the looks

    Cons: view in back

Advice: choose a dealer who does not try to pressure you to add all of their warranties.

We are extremely pleased with this vehicle. Trading in an older Dodge Caravan, we were pleasantly surprised at the many improvements and features. The one complaint we have is the vision for backing up. We will probably buy the rear view camera, which will run about $1000.
