Pros: XMSR Radio/OnStar
Cons: Cheap materials and workmanship and the deletion of older options that worked well.
Advice: Look at the GMC Yukon Denali or a Lexus
Handles well for an SUV. Good acceleration for a vehicle of its size. Brakes leave a little to be desired, especially if you tow anything.Pros: Power
Cons: Nothing
Advice: Great vechicle
Unbelievable ride and confort. The engine power absolutely blows the Expedition off the roadPros: Comfort and ride quality.
Cons: nothing
Advice: For bang for the buck the Tahoe is the best.
Rides great. We test drove the 2003 Expedition, it does not even come close.Pros: comfort
Cons: gas mileage
Advice: test drive others and save tahoe for last
for its size and weight does a great jobPros: The great looking exterior. QTY of extras
Cons: To low to the ground for serious off road excursions.
Advice: Take your time and work the price of car and ext warranty down. I saved 5k off the list and 500 of the ext. warranty.
The Tahoe is a great riding SUV. I opted for the Z71 package which is great for towing and off road hobbies. It is very roomy and comfortable and has lots of room for people and equipment. The out side looks are great but even better with the Z71 package as it adds 17' custom wheels, all terain tires, painted bumpers, mirrors and wheel well flares which dresses up the std exterior very nicely. It also seperates you from all the other Tahoes on the road.Pros: New 5.3 liter V8 and drive train is excellent!
Cons: Smaller fuel tank
Advice: Compare then buy the Tahoe
Plenty of V8 power. Very smooth and controlable. The steering provides quick response with an extremely stable feel. Suspension wise, firm and comfortable designed more for road cruising than offroad driving. I'm really impressed with the comfort and options on this vehicle. It's not just a truck anymore! If you need an offroad mud-bogger do yourself a favor and spend less on a used pickup truck!
