Pros: Duramax Diesel
Cons: waited too long to purchase the vehicle
Advice: make sure you get the available XM Satellite radio
The Duramax Turbo Diesel is awesome. I would recommend this vehicle to anyone for MPG and towing capacity. It is extremely hard to find a vehicle which can do both at the same time! My vehicle has XM Satellite radio, Onstar, and almost every option available which makes it a vehicle I would take out for a night on the town, however I think I will stick to my Corvette for that purpose. Thank you GM and Chevrolet.Pros: Driving the truck.
Cons: Nothing
Advice: Go test drive and buy.
Went to buy a Ford, came home with a Chevy. I never even test-drove the Ford. I have had the truck two weeks, and still just love it. It rides, and drives like a car. There is plenty of room for the wife and kids. Gas mileage is great, and the power is always there. If you drive you will buy.Pros: comfortable and loads of power
Cons: windshield wipers do not return to stow position after cutting engine
Advice: GET ONE!!!!!!!
LOVE THIS TRUCK AND WILL NEVER BUY ANYTHING BUT CHEVY AGAINPros: Comfort & Ride
Cons: NOTHING
Advice: Go for a test drive and you will buy one
Great VehiclePros: Powertrain, Bose sound system, Onstar, LT PKG, quality, XM radio, HD Positraction
Cons: There is nothing I can even think of that I dislike. Excellent so far.
Advice: Go compare the competition. You will see which has the most options, power and highest resale value.
In my opinion, Chevy still has the best trucks on the road for comfort, strength and just raw power to tackle any task. The Silverado has so much luxury w/the LT package such as leather heated seats, Bose 6 disc system, ONSTAR, and XM Satellite radio. The ride ,quietness, and power is amazing from such a big HD truck. The Vortec 6000 V8 (hello Corvette derived!) is also amazing. We drove the new Dodge and Ford HD's and they do not compare to anything the Chevy has to offer. It is like going from 1980 to 2004. Fuel economy is not bad for this big HD powertrain.Pros: DURAMAX DIESEL V8 WITH ALLISON AUTOMACTIC TRANSMISSION.
Cons: PRICE
Advice: SHOP AROUND AND GET A INTERNET PRICE, THIS COULD SAY YOU BIG BUCKS.
MONSTER TRUCK WITH A ALL-MOST CAR RIDE. INTERRIOR HAS MANY AMENIDIES.Pros: Responsiveness of engine/transmission
Cons: Small fuel fill pipe & High Beam indicator Light Too Bright
Advice: If you need a tow vehicle
Duramax/Allison combination seem to work well together. Noise level very accecptable for diesel engine. Ride is a little stiff when empty or not towing, but that is to be expected in a 3/4 ton vehcile.
