i love my truck and i enjoy it alot
Silverado
Pros: The truck
Cons: Preformance
Poor gas mileage. No power. Must downshift to go up a slight incline.Has problems pulling an empty utility trailer. Dealer says everything is OK.Excellant Truck!
Pros: the smooth drivetrain.
Cons: nothing
Good initial build quality and after a year and a half, it's never been back to the dealer except for oil changes. the new 6 speed transmission is very smooth compared to the old four speed. Great power, quiet interior and smooth ride. I'd buy another one tomorrow.2009 Crew Cab
Pros: The roomy interior
Cons: MPG
Love everything about the truck except the mileage. At best I get about 18 MPG on the highway at 65 MPH. In town I average 13 MPG.Excellent Value
Pros: 6 speed automatic
Cons: rear drum brakes
I have had this pickup for just over a year and have logged 4,000 miles during this time. The truck is a crew cab short bed LTZ. It is as comfortable or more so to drive as any car. The interior is very nice and the leather seats are very comfortable. The sound sytem is excellent and the HVAC system keeps the inside very comfortable. The 5.3 liter engine and 6 speed automatic pull the truck right along averaging approximately 19.5 mpg with mixed city and highway driving. The truck looks very nice but maybe a little bit bulky in the front end. Chevrolet removed the rear wheel disc brakes on the Silverado a couple of years ago. They replaced them with drum brakes :(. I have noticed additional pedal force required to stop this truck from the 2001 pickup prior to this one. In addition, the rear drums clunk when shifting from a forward gear to reverse and vice-versa with brakes applied. Other than this, I love the truck.Poorest assembled vehicle ever
Pros: auto 4 wheel drive
Cons: build quality
Doors never did fit from new until now despite dealer attempts. Engine knocks when cold, auto trans never shifts right when cold, rear end went out at 8,000 miles,(warranty), fuel pump went out at 30,000 miles, Muffler wnet out at 25,000 miles, etc.etc. Truck currently has 60,000 miles on it.my dependable chevy truck
Pros: auto four wheel drive
160000 miles and no breakdowns, still has lots of power and I trust it to take me anywhere, Ride is tight and steady and truck is comfortable on long trips.
