Getting firsthand information from an actual car owner is one sure way to get an idea of car performance once it leaves the lot. Autobytel features real consumer reviews that give the unbiased experience of a car.
Pros: Awesome performance (motor)
Cons: Cup/beverage holders are horrible; front and back. I did experience the 'coffee flip' when gently rounding a corner. And... it would be nice to have an A/C-Heat vent in the backseat.
Advice: Worth the buy - just have to watch the beverage holders
Super sweetPros: Great looks, and the neck snapping power
Cons: Would like to see a 2 door four gear rear wheel drive.
Advice: Buy it you wont be disapointed.
My,wife picked the car out as it is her new car,I must say this is the nicest all around car we have ever driven or bought. Fun to drive very comfotable and very, very fast. We got it with all the toys, including the moon roof. I believe chevy's add should say that this car is a 'wolf in sheeps clothing'!!!. I havent felt power like this since back in the 70's. We both just love this car. I have alway's loved Chevys and this one is no exception. Great car, don't plan on ever trading it in. Keep up the good work Sincerly, Donald D DowningPros: The body, and performance
Cons: The trouble with the cd player, and message center
Advice: Check out any and all reviews on your vehicle's before buying or leasing it.
When I went for a test drive I was very impressed with the Impala LTZ. However after I signed on to lease, with the consideration of buying this car, my mind changed because I had problems with the cd player, as a matter of fact it had to be changed three times. Now the message center keep flashing check the tire monitoring system, which I did and there's nothing wrong with it, so now I have to take it back into the dealership to find out what is going on with. This is my third Impala, and I love Chevrolet,s Impala's, I just don't feel I should be having such problems with such a new vehicle ( 2006 ). Other than these problems I still love the car, maybe I got a bad apple. Sincerely Yours Sheila Jordan ( Dearborn Heights, mich )Pros: Ease of operation.
Cons: Lack of outside temperature with the computer monitor.
Advice: Ask for hidden rebates that may be available.
Pleasant and quiet; smooth drive, easy to understand controls. Interior look is above average; radio and CD is suberb. No rattles, squeaks, or vibrations. Have bought used cars for last 21 years mainly because of depreciation loss; but using all rebates avail this car cost me $17,900 plus Wisconsin tax. That was only $900 more than used 2006 models I researched. This base LS is loaded with features but not anti-lock brakes. Another minor point is that rear window restricts view while backing up.Pros: THE NEW ENGINE DESIGN FOR 2006-THE RIDE, THE HANDLING AND POWER
Cons: DID NOT HAVE MEMORY SETTINGS FOR DRIVER 1 & 2
Advice: ENJOY THE RIDE
I PURCHASED THE 2006 IMPALA SS AND LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT IT. THIS CAR PREFORMS VERY WELL,AND COMES LOADED WITH MANY FEATURES THAT ARE USUALLY ADDONS ON MANY OTHER CARS AT THIS PRICE RANGE.Pros: Sun roof
Cons: Cup holders
Advice: Buy it
After driving SUV's for over eight years, I purchased this Impala. I love it. It drives smooth and quiet. Sometimes its hard to tell if the engine is on. The Impala has so many features and is well worth the money. My husband and I are very pleased with our purchase. Its a great car and fast too.Pros: PICK UP
Cons: FRONT WHEEL DRIVE
Advice: DRIVE IT
I HAVE ONE AND I SELL THEM. I LOVE IT!!
